Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose computer science because of my interest. The course curriculum is based upon the NEW EDUCATION POLICY and the faculties experience is average only. You will get some serious teachers as well as some not interested teachers who is barely interested in teaching. No doubt all the faculties is highly qualified and majority are phd holders from very reputed institutes. Exams are held here very timely and as per the schedule and the difficulty is quite moderate. You have midsems and endsems in one semester. You can score well by studying 1 week before your sems. Also the marking scheme is relative here so your grades will be relative to all your classmates.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Students get eligible for internships after the 4th sem and there are many internships opportunities provided by the college to the students. The minimum stipend is 60K and it can go upto 2Lacs.

Placement Experience

4

Students can start applying for jobs from their 5th semester. This year, many big companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, Deloitte, Samsung, and JP Morgan visited the campus. The highest salary offered was 82.05 LPA by Atlassian for a software developer job. On average, students got a package of 16.71 LPA, and the placement rate for the Computer science course has been dropped to 82% from 94% due to recession. But generally DTU offers good placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The complete course fees is estimated to be 9,78,000 for 4 years and the yearly fees is 2,29000 for 1st year then 2,36,000 in second year and hence is increasing in the same way. But students do get financial aid in the form of scholarships and fee waivers by college itself. also like merit cum scholarships and all. Also eligible student with family income less than 4.5L per annum even gets fee waiver from college itself.

Campus Life

4

Campus life at DTU is fun and busy. There’s always something happening. The big cultural festival is Engifest, held in February, with many performances and competitions. For technical stuff, there’s Invictus, usually in April, where students show their tech skills and take part in contests. The library has many books and journals, but sometimes, popular ones are hard to get.The classrooms are okay, with projectors and Wi-Fi Sports is a big thing here. There are grounds for cricket, football, basketball, and more. The university encourages students to join tournaments. Besides sports, there are many clubs. Popular clubs include the Debating Society, IEEE, and The Music Society.

Admission

The admission here at dtu is based on the rank/percentile of JEE MAINS. You have to score very good percentile to get tech branches in DTU. No interview or such round takes place for the admission. I chose this college because it is the best college for engineering in delhi after IIT DELHI. The legacy of DTU is what makes it standout from other JAC colleges. Also the chill environment here gives you enough time to do any side hustle and pursue your interest.

Faculty

4

The curriculum aligns with the NEW EDUCATION POLICY, and the teaching staff has a mix of experience levels. That said, most of the faculty members are highly qualified, with a large number holding PhDs from renowned institutions. Exams are conducted on time and as per the planned schedule, with a moderate difficulty level.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
