Entrance Exam

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is strictly according to the latest syllabus prescribed by A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University as there are semester exams held by aktu and sessional exams held by college every two months.

Internships Opportunities

No, the college does not provide any internship and if offered then it is a free one not paid so we do not get any stipend but if by chance stipend is provided then it's very less. Same is the case with scholarship.

Placement Experience

The placement here at Galgotias is really good especially for the computer science and engineering department. Although there are very fewer jobs for civil and mechanical engineering branches. The average package offered by the companies is about 3 to 4 lacks.

College Events

Our college is known for events and fests organized by it in Greater Noida as they are so grand that the students from other colleges also participate in them. There are various departments like literary department, management club and many more which work in collaboration to organize a big event.

Campus Life

3.5

Labs are large and spacious and are also well equipped and many sports activities really promoted by the college like basketball, football, chicken, and other such games. So sufficient extracurricular activities are held in the college.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The college infrastructure is good as the classes and the labs are well equipped with the required instruments. The college hostel is also good for living and studying but the food of the college mess is not good.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network of the college is not very strong but the college is trying to improve it by organizing various seminars and workshops and the alumni meet. Hence overview of the alumni network is not good.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty members are very supportive and they are always ready to help students in every possible way and they are also having deep knowledge of the subject which they are teaching as they use various innovative techniques to make concepts clear to students.

Overall Feedback for College - Admission , Placement , Course , Faculty , Events

Likes

the security is nice at my college like proper cctv and guards , apart from that labs , and my dept is too good. Ac classroom and labs
They have provided average placement like most of companies are mass hiring like tcs and accenture ..and only few companies come to offer big package
Infrastructure is good but there is need of reconstruction at some places the water is ticking in rain season continuously, and curriculum is okay okay not that much relevant to industry , they taught text books rather than the real practical cases

Dislikes

The examination checking - the student who is cr or having any relation with teachers got highest marks without writing the answer properly
The food canteen first of all the canteen is off from the past 1 or 2 year and now it reopen but it sells dirty food , waste foods
The college professor support , they are not that much supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding I am interested in coding that why I offer this course It provide some courses but not all courses are related to real world they have to use practical examples and make students aware of the real industry According to me the time and frequency is okay of exam

What I See at SRM Ghaziabad

Likes

I really appreciated the college clubs and hackathons.
There are variety of events throughout the semester, something to always keep you on your feet.
Some of the faculties are really really experienced and have a unique approach that captures the attention of all the students.

Dislikes

Not many hotspots around campus to hang out after classes.
The infrastructure of the hostel can be improved a lot.
Food in mess is not great, the menu is not very diverse. Everything has aloo.

Placement Experience:

Placements are actually impressive with our college having the highest placement rate among others in the region. We usually achieve ~90% placement. We get opportunities from many large groups, such as Infosys, TCS, JPMC, BNY, Logitech, etc etc The list goes on. The highest package that I saw was of around 1Cr from a company I don't remember their name, but it was based out of SF and was a really great one. Average placement we see is around 12-20LPA packages.

The placements in the college is really one of the the factors convincing everyone to take admission in SRM ,average package from the college is of around 10,00,000 which is really a very good amount in todays stresfull market.

Galgotias College Brutal Honest Review

I have applied for Bihar State Nalanda college, chandi. It gave me aerospace engineering. I didn't choose that because their course curriculum with their faculties and college culture is not fit for getting placement. I wanted some placement oppurtunities through my college and GCET is suitable for it because of their location and college culture. My admission process of my college is through direct admission as well as UPTAC counselling. Direct admission is for those who have low JEE ranks and outside of UP and are early comers. Counselling is for merit based admission for UP students generally with better JEE ranks than direct admission students....Read More

At the time of counselling, GCET is my 3rd preference as I have properly researched about it and matches with my eligibilty criteria as well. I have also applied for JIIT Noida, but couldn't able to get CSE branch. However, In greater noida, comparing to other private colleges, GCET is much better option because of its location, fee structure, campus size. Admission process happened through AKTU counselling, also 15% seats researved for direct admission as well. Exams like JEE mains and percentile above 85 is required for CS branch and vary according to course....Read More
