Remarks

Pros: This is a good college for engineering especially if you are active in extracurricular activities. College also has a huge campus. Cons: During placement, you will get all service based companies. If you want to be placed in a product based company you will have to find internship in that company and try to get placed there all by yourself.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

As AISSMS COE comes under Pune University it follows the same curriculum as SPPU. There are 8 semesters in 4 years. Each semester has 5-6 subjects. The syllabus is easy to understand and has all the topics necessary to be a computer Engineer. But the syllabus is not detailed and you have to work yourself if you want to learn a subject in depth.

Internships Opportunities

The college has collaboration with Internship providers. But here is no such direct internship program in the college. You have to find the internships for yourself. Most of the internships are not paid.

Placement Experience

3

The placements are decent. The placement percentage is also good. If you are good at your technical skills there will not be any issues while getting placed. Many reputed companies like IBM, Infosys, Barclays and many more come for campus recruitment. The average packages are around 3.5L - 4.5L. But if you are skilled you can also get packages as high as 20L.

College Events

4.5

The college is very active in sports and cultural activities and there are many events taking place throughout the year. There are 2 major events 'Engineering Today ' and'Ashwamedh'. Engineering today is a technical event with every department having its own technical competitions. It takes place in September. Ashwamedh is a sports and cultural event. There are many sports and art competitions arranged during Ashwamedh. This event happens in February. Both the events are managed by the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is comparatively high by a small margin. But on the application of government scholarships, the become feasible. The fee for an open category without any concessions is around Rs. 1,10,000 per year. You have to pay the fees in one installment only.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are no such scholarships offered by the college. But you can apply for the government and other private scholarships. The college also provides all the documents required for the student loan. But there is no explicit loan or scholarship provided by the college.

Campus Life

4

There are many extracurricular activities going on in college. The college is very active in sports. The college has one of Pune's largest grounds. There are college and department teams for Cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table-tennis and Kabbadi. Most of the departments have a student club to develop their skills and participate in competitions. College provides types of equipment and labs required for these activities. The labs are also well maintained.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel is ok. The college hostel is a bit far from college. But there is a bus provided by the hostel for transportation. The hostel is not available for those who live in Pune. The hostel infrastructure is also ok.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is active. There are alumni sessions in which alumni give talk about their experiences in the corporate world. They also guide juniors about the things needed in the real work environment. The seniors are also helpful and guide well whenever asked for help. But you have to approach them or coordinate with them when they approach.

Exam Structure

There are 2 semesters every year. Each semester includes around 6 subjects. For the first and second year, there are online MCQ mid-sem exams of 50 marks and an end-sem written exam of 50 marks for each semester. Along with this, there is also a practical exam for some subjects. For the third and final year, the online exam is replaced by a written mid-sem exam.
