Likes

In my department the teachers were very good and cooperative.
The classrooms are big and campus maintenance is good.
There is games room, court to play and etc

Dislikes

There is not much discipline and the college is not very strict.
Some students are very ill mannered too.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course overall was good. There were a lot of scope for students to score good marks. I had MCQ papers as well. We had vivas, presentation and projects during the years. I had 2 semesters every year. And every semester had there specific exams. Sometimes it used to become very pressuring but it also made me push myself.

Class Size: 140Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I had studied bachelor of commerce from Bhawanipur education society which is affiliated under Calcutta University. The fees per semester ranged from about 30000-40000. My peers had applied for some scholarships. The minimum eligibility for the scholarships were 60-70% marks in the last exam.

Campus Life

My college has a good campus. It is well maintained and clean. We are even allowed to use the elevator. My college hosts a number of fests and many a times many celebrities come to promote their movies and music. So the college life is very happening. There are number of sports events too like cricket football badminton table tennis etc.

Admission

My first preference was this college because to be honest I had the responsibility of my father's business also. So attendance does not matter much here which was the biggest pro for me as I could study for my degree and help my father too. The admission was based on my marks in class 12. Reserved category people had less cutoff.

Faculty

I had the faculty of commerce. It was pretty good. My tax and accounting teachers were very cooperative. We also had projects and assignments. We follwed the CBCS system of curriculum. There were not much failures in my department. Overall the faculty is good there.

Education system was amazing. The kind of knowledge and education imparted to students is highly appreciated
The faculty members were highly educated, most of the professor were CA , CS and other degree holders along with P.hd. Hence they were very knowledgeable with brilliant personalities.
The campus encouraged students to be more active in both co curricular activities and course study

My journey at Calcutta university

Likes

Most professors had strong academic backgrounds and real-world experiences,
The campus life was vibrant and inclusive.
The infrastructure was well-maintained, with good classrooms and well stocked library.

Dislikes

some subject felt outdated or less relevant to current industry standards.
placement support was limited and required a lot of individual effort.

Placement Experience:

From the very first semester, the college has brought in companies for placement such as deloitte with an average package of around 5 lakh, then there was KPMG as well , Techno Electric and few others, but there where limited no.of position.

My true story about my university.

Likes

The knowledge of teachers there is very vast and clear.
They try to help every student if someone go and ask them individually.
They also guide the students other than just the syllabus.

Dislikes

The management could be a lot better but it's not that bad.
The staff in the the Department of commerce office need to be more humble
The bathroom need to be more clean I mean there should be working exhaust fan.

Placement Experience:

They have the plan of yearly job placement program. In which many good company do come here. But the bad thing is that they need even more qualification area than necessary. And they also choose very less students for job.

Journey of my college

Likes

Classes fully Air conditioner with larger room
Wifi facility is available for every students
Computer lab and library very very spacious and comfortable

Dislikes

Canteen which i personally not good because of shortage of foods
Playground maintenance is not good or ground is not as big
Washroom must have to clean or classroom too

Heartwarming experience at CBPBU

Admission:

For undergraduate courses, admission is based on merit but for Post Graduate courses, merit and entrance examination both are considered. There should be atleast 55% marks with a bachelors degree to secure admission in the post graduate programme.

Admission:

There is an entrance examination as well as merit cum based. For undergraduate courses, merit is the criteria. For pg courses, merit and entrance test both are there. The qualification is to have a bachelors degree with 55% marks.

Remarks:

It is the best government college for girls in Bhopal for seeking their graduation as well as post-graduation degree as the fees are very affordable, drawback here lies only with the placement as the average package is very less even after post-graduation.

Perfect campus for economics student

Admission process are very simple. Generally entrance exam was conducted for admission but I took admission just after COVID so I didn't give any entrance exam. But cutt off was very high.
