Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is totally relevant to the branch but some people say that it is not relevant because there are core subjects like EE,ECE,Physics in first year of tech branches, but they are totally relevant because if we have to do field work then we wouldn't be eligible for that if these subjects would not be in our curriculum, so i think these are totally relevant. The curriculum gives us real world applications beacuse in almost every subject there are practical classes also ehich helps us in applying the things we have studied.i guess the areas of Core subjects should be improved that some topics in the core subjects are totally irrelevant like MOSFET and JFET in ECE. Exams occurs after almost every 2-2.5 months like semester starts , after 2 months mid-sem exams starts and after 2.5 months of mid-sem exams end sem exams starts.

Internships Opportunities

5

The internship opportunities get started from 3rd year of the course in which we can do internships of only 3 months. here we can polish our skills to work and gives us a good cv which helps us in the ppo in 4th year

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements of our campus are very good, infact our college is known for its placements only.and the main thing is that many big companies come into the campus and offer very high packages like apple, microsoft google etc. The highest package offered as per last year data was 82 lakhs while average was nearly about 16-17 lakhs, and the overall percentage of placements for tech branches was around 75-80% as per the data available. My plan after getting the degree is to get hired in any of the good companies and after getting a work experience of 2-3 years i may go abroad for msters.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fee structure is divided into many things like tution fees, examination fees , extra-curricular activities's fees, medical fees, etc. For the first year the annual fees is2,36,700/- INRwhich would increase by some amount every year. So, the first year fee is divided in tuition fee which is 1,55,000/-INR ,then there is student welfare fee which includes co-curricular activities, Training &placement annual gathering etc. which is 20000/- INR, Then there comes Facilities & Service Charges which are 36000/-INR, then there comes economically Weaker Section Fund which is 10000/- INR, then comes Examinationn Fee which is 15000/- INR , Then comes Dtu medical facilities and premiuim amount for mediclaim of student which is 700/- which makes a total of 2,36,700/-INR. From college side , there is only fee concession as of my knowledge which on SC,ST candidates gets that also on the basis of their financial conditions.

Campus Life

4.5

there are many annual as well as technical fests which are also, the main and the biggest fest is engifest which is also referred as biggest fest of north india, then comes te turn of e-summit which is organised by ecell (enterpreneaurship society) of the college.

Admission

There were many reason to opt for this college, the first thing was that it is one of the most reputated college as every person my parents asked for this college appreciated in terms of campus, placements and most importantly crowd, the other reason was that is is near to my home about 2 hours journey . The other reason is that it is a tier-1 college whose name comes after IITs. No, i didn't get any rejection from any college , the admission proces was through Jee mains exam in whcih we are selected on the basis of the ranks we get, so we filled the councelling of our choice and DTU was my main choice and i got his college with the branch i expected for. The process to get admission in DTU was Jac councelling in which we fill our choices of preference and get college according to ranks scored by us. The cutoff for my branch was 18k rank while mine was 17k

Faculty

4.5

The faculty to student ratio is about 50 students per teacher on an average and the teachers are super chull and helpful also.I liked almost all teacher the name of few are suman bhowmik sir of electrical subject, the main reason to like him is that being so old his passion to teach is never down . He always teach us in a very good manner that we understand in the very first time. There is no as such teacher that anyone hated. There are 6 subjects in first year in ehich 5 are compulsory subjects and one is elective subject thatwe have to choose ourselves. The exam is on a moderate to tough side, where many questions come similar to PYQ's while some are newly framed.About 30-40% students of core branches fail to pass in atleast one exams because of difficult subject, while in tech branches , this ratio is about 20-25% i guess.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
