Remarks

I found this College to be strict for attendance and submission. They are really strict for Attendance. If you have Attendance less than 75% (now in each subject) you will be treated like a criminal in the staff room. Parents will be called in the college and imposition will be given to you.

Entrance Exam

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Currently, I am a student of EXTC at SFIT. Talking about curriculum, the standard Mumbai University curriculum is strictly followed here. Some student chapters are also there. All portion get covered well before the semester end.

Internships Opportunities

Various kind of internships and training is provided in the college. Tpo of the college always finds faculties to train students in the person leaves. Paid internships are provided so no stipend will be given. For internships, you need to get the signature of the tpo unless College will not permit you for internships.

Placement Experience

4

The placements at the college are very nice. There are a number of companies visiting St. Francis Institute of Technology for placements. Companies like TCS, LTI and Capgemini visit every year. Recently we have also had some other companies like Drona, Byju's, etc. that offered very nice packages.

College Events

4

SFIT has two main events. One is in the odd semester and one is in the even semester. The cultural festival is named as IRIS and the Technical festival is MOSAIC. There are more events organized by the organization. E-CELL organizes Pragati a project competition and Colloquium is organized by the IT department of the College.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is less as compared to the other grade A colleges in Mumbai. The fees can also be paid in installments. Two months time is given for the payment and after that 1000rs fine in made at the time of payment of the fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

Rajashri Shahu Maharaj scholarship is the scholarship scheme that most of the students tend to apply for. The college supports at its level best for making it easier for the students. All Mumbai university scholarships are told to students.TATA scholarship is also available for the students.

Campus Life

3

Labs here are rated average by the students. Classrooms are big and spacious well ventilated. Many sports are played under the campus. The college has a volleyball court, a football court, basketball court, badminton court. They also have the permission of ground for cricket too.

Hostel Facilities

2

The infrastructure of the college is quite average. Classrooms are spacious enough to seat a class with a strength of 80 students. Recently we have also had a new building constructed since 2 new streams have been added. We also have a Wi-Fi facility almost throughout the campus. The labs are just about average.

Alumni/Alumna

The college recently had an alumni group in 2019 and now they started with annual alumni meet which is supposed to be in January month of each year. Alumni are one of the finest you can ever get. No ego or arrogance you find in anyone. Everyone is friendly and helpful here.

Exam Structure

All standard Mumbai University rules are followed here at SFIT. Two internal tests and one Semester exam is there. Along with internal, there have two extra tests too. They call it a Descriptive test. Students normally find difficult to manage these test with the internal tests.

Admission

Getting admitted to SFIT one has to give the Common Entrance Test (CET) Which is conducted by the state. Generally cut offs are high for this college as it is accredited by NBA. After allotment of the college, you just have to come to college with the letter rest everything taken care of by the office itself.

Faculty

3.5

The teachers are quite helpful. They complete the portion before the semester without fail. Regular tests are conducted to ensure students are up to date with their studies. Although, some teachers are not capable of teaching engineering students because they just lack the motivation to do so.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
