Course Curriculum Overview

4

practical approach in the curriculum industrial touch and depiction of practical work with respect to industry latest tech related today's date inspired me to take this course. After studying the course you get to intern for reputed companies in your field offering good pay providing wide exposure. Uh ohh the areas where they can improve is nothing they have designed the curriculum very clearly and perfectly. after the start of the sem almost after 1.5 months there is mid sem examination and after 1.5 months of mid sem examination there is end sem examination and i'll comment in such a manner that one who does hardwork and puts effort in studying faces no problem in examination

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Bajaj motorcycles selected me as a production engineering intern with stipend of 29500 per month for two months. Using all the technical knowledge that was taught in college seeing the manufacturing in the factory students are expected to create a detailed project report on it.

Placement Experience

3.5

from 5th sem students are eligible for placement and internships. From 5th sem onwards companies come and after 3rd year or 6th sem there is compulsory internship in summer break for all. There are many companies such as Hilti Mastercard Bajaj etc visiting the campus to recruit students. Highest package was offered to a Computer Engineering student 57 LPA this year and if you consider average combining all the branches 6-8 LPA is the average where 6-6.5 is the mean. 60-80% students are placed every year remaining students are either engaged in their startups or they study further. My plans after graduation is to study further.

Fees and Financial Aid

my fees structure for academic year is 84250 open fee but from when UGC has granted university status to the college from then fees have increased. tuition fees 15000 development fees 39850 gymkhana fee 1800 training and placement 1000 library 4500 laboratory 15000 internet & e mail 2200 gathering 1500 boat club fee 600 boat club membership 150 student aid fund 250 examination fee 1500 identity card 100 university fee 1200 alumni membership fee 750 so this is the open fee for academic year for obc is it 66000 for sebc and ewc too for sc/st/jammu kashmir it is 5000 we have quota for north eastern students too there are many scholarships on merit basis and on category basis one such scholarship is maha-DBT

Campus Life

3.5

'Regatta' is the flagship kayak racing event of the college catching a huge crowd it is held every year in march. 'Gathering' is the annual day in the college and held basically in the month of April. 'Mindspark' is the flagship technical fest of the college held every year in september. 'Impressions' it is the flagship cultural fest of COEP attracting thousands of visitors there's fun in the air during this event. There are more than 10 thousand books available in COEP library including academic books and all the other types of books. There are projectors present in every classrooms and wifi is enabled through out the campus. There is sport team of almost every sport and team leads in their respective sports. There are many clubs related to entrepreneurship and civil cervices aspirant clubs etc which shape student lives to an greater extent.

Admission

I was getting confirm admission in SPCE mumbai VJTI VIT KJ somaiya MIT wpu etc but COEP was always my dream college and number 1 college in Maharashtra so getting into COEP felt just like a dream. Before getting into an engineering school i did a thorough research on branches and colleges but then i found out that manufacturing engineering is in very limited colleges across maharashtra and luckily my merit was enough to get into COEP i was admitted here. So there are two main exams which are accepted by the college for admissions MHCET and JEE mains basically students get admission through CET are normal students and in every branch there is all india quota which is made to accommodate students from other parts of the country through JEE mains.Mostly MH domicile students prefer CET. So after the results of the respective exams there is like CAP round through which students are admitted in the college. after cap there is institute level round too to get admission in COEP.

Faculty

4.5

all the faculties are very helpful knowledgeable and well qualified people faculties help students in every possible way and they pay special attention towards the weak students and help them to become better students. there are 1 faculty per class. every faculty in manufacturing department is good. So the academic curriculum is as follows Midsem 30M End sem 60M and 10 marks evaluation are in teachers hand they may give assignment or they'll evaluate on the basis of assignment. The only comment i'll make on exams is that the one who studies or who's in touch with the subject faces no problem in passing the exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
