Likes

Teachers in Nie have very strong hold on concepts and have a creative approach towards teaching
Campus is located in a prime location and very close to most of the areas.
They have very good and secure hostel facilities

Dislikes

Campus is quite small compared to other colleges and each department buildings is clustered which makes it annoying to travel here and there for different classes
Fests conducted here are not that grand it is mediocre
Campus Life is quite boring, it is quite challenging to score and maintain a good cgpa as the curriculum is quite difficult

Course curriculum is very good compared to other colleges usually in demand industry courses are included in the curriculum. One thing that needs to be changed is including some courses which are not helpful or related to our branch in particular sems like biology, chemistry.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities is pretty good in Nie.The placement department keeps the students always updated with different internships opportunities through frequent mails and makes sure students are updated with anything related to internship and placement

Placement Experience

Placements so far is pretty decent in Nie with an average package of 8 lpa and 90 percentage placement. Over the past few years it has declined due to recession but slowly it is improving because of the changes made in the curriculum.

Fees and Financial Aid

I had got unaided seat under kcet exam with annual fees of 98000, aided will be around 40000, there are many scholarships for free concession given to meritorious students by our college and approves all other government related scholarships too like sitaram Jindal scholarship, tata scholarship and many more

Campus Life

Overall campus Life is quite boring with maximum encouragement only towards academics. Club oriented activities are conducted frequently with many industry talks arranged every week. Sports activities is comparatively less as there are no good facilities for sports

If I have to be super honest I didn't choose this college I got it because of my ranking in kcet I was aiming for jce college in Mysore as it is the number 1 engineering college in Mysore with most of the top MNC's visiting it every year for placements

Most of he faculty in Nie are all PhD qualified and quite good with their work. They have a creative approach in teaching concepts to students and encourage students to ask more doubts and maintain an interactive environment. The curriculum usually changes every sem and is quite challenging to score. Usually there are 2 internals and one sem end exam with lab exam in one sem

Academic Curriculum- they constantly upgrade the subjects which needs to be taught
Labs - very well equipped labs for all branches.
You can choose to drop a lab and do it in winter break or summer break

Dislikes

very less holidays only 3rd saturday is holiday and they dont give holidays for jayantis and all
Auto drivers near the college. this is pure daylight robbery

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

I have been from diploma background, after diploma I joined this course as later entry (direct admission to 2nd year). In diploma also, I have studied the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) course. As I know the basic concepts about this course, it is easy for me now to understand the concepts.

Faculties are highly experienced and ready to help all the time
Good infrastructure with well equipped labs, library, sports
Adds extra curricular activities like teaching AI and other trending topics in college

Dislikes

Washrooms need to be clean and good to use especially for girls hygiene it has to be good
Hostel food is not that great and needs improvement in the quality of food
Thought schedule everyday hard to cope up with everything

Only one playground for cricket and also remaining
security are very rude but some are bit friendly

Yes our college provide placements, from final year that is 7th semester they will allow for placements, Many companies visited our college like tcs, Cognizant, indegene, microland etc and average package is 400000 and highest is 1500000 it given by oracle, Nearly 60 percent students got that is either in both technical and non technical jobs, my plans to join a IT company

Likes

Faculties are really well experienced by character all the faculties are humble and polite.
The college has good Infrastructure and the campus is surrounded with Trees it is very peaceful campus.
Placement support are really good with lab facilities where skill rack, NPTEL, Infosys springboard, MongoDB, IBM platform is provided for level up our skills.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are fairly good and students become eligible for campus placements from the final year, usually from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the campus every year and offewre opportunuties in different roles such as software developer,analyst, technical support, and other entry-level positions.

Faculty Experience and Mentorship : Experienced faculty : The faculty at SVIT is often described as appreciable , knowledge, and supportive . professors are well - versed in there respective fields ,and many have industrial experience .
Placement support : Strong placement record: SVIT hasa good placement record ,with many students securing in top - tier companies like TCS , Wipro , Accenture, Infosys,. The college guidence through placement offers traning .

Dislikes

Collaborative Environment : Group project and assignment is core elements of curriculum with many course designed to involve group work and collaborative projects.
Cultural Activities : Are not celebrated more in semister
Collaborative learning : Communication barrier in larger teams especially working with different backgrounds or academic disciplines.

The placement at SVIT Bengaluru area quite impressive , especially in the technical field like Computer science, Civil, Electrical and Machanical Engineering.The college has a dedicated placement cell that students get the best opportunities for internship and final placement .At SVIT , Students typically become eligible for campus placement from the 7 th semester . However, the placement cell starts preparing students for interview and skill development from the 5 th semester onwards though mock interview , resume - building workshops , and personality development session.SVIT Bengaluru has strong industry connection , especially in the IT and engineering sectors .some of the companies that regularly visit the campus recruitment includes. TCS , Infosys , Wipro, Congnizant, Accenture,IBM, Capgemini ,Tech Mahendra , Amazon.High- package : The highest salary package offered in recent year was around 15 - 18 lakhs per annum for candidates . Average package: The average salary package offered is ar8 4- 5 lakhs per annum. The placement rates at SVIT is consistently high . On average , around 80-85% of eligible students get placed in good companies.

Less fees but wonderful knowledgeful experience

Particular teaching subject wise was not so clear.
Placement training courses coding wise was not that good.
Water facility sometimes was not good but it was ok nothing to dislike

Placement Experience:

1. From 7th semester onwards placement activities start. But from 1st semester itself they start training. 2. Windcare, Rinexx, Wipro, Infosys, A1 fence, Microdegree, Intellipath and so on. 3. Intellipath offers 10 lakh per annum and so on. 4. 85 percent students where getting placed. 5. To start my own venture.

An honest review

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.

Overall the college is good

I got seat via KCET. KCET is held once a year . It's engineering entrance exam for colleges in Karnataka. After the exam there will be counseling and usually the cutoff for NIE Mysore CSE and ISE is around 5k to 6k . All about NIE Mysore by Satwik (placed in Samsung)

The admission to this college was through the KEA entrance exam. The state board conducts an exam called K-CET after regular board exams. One can take admission through comedk, and also management seats are also available. You should contact college administrators through their website.
