Government Arts colleges in Tamil Nadu have a variety of infrastructure and facilities, including: Classrooms: GACBE have Good-conditioned classrooms Labs: GACBE have separate labs for different subjects, like chemistry, physics,and Botany.
GACBE have an auditorium . Cafeteria: this college have a cafeteria
Government Arts College, Coimbatore: This college has a digital library, air-conditioned classrooms, and well-equipped labs. Some say the hostel facilities are better than other government hostels.

Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Defence and Strategic Studies is an interdisciplinary program that covers a range of topics related to national security and defense: Topics Geopolitics, military geography, science and technology, defense economics, conflict management, and conflict resolution Goals Develop solutions to strategic problems, teach effective communication, and educate future leaders Career opportunities Work as a Defense Delivery Head in the Defense Ministry, assist the government in strategic policy development, and raise awareness about national security Preparation for competitive exams The subject of Defence Studies is included in competitive exams for the Public Service Commissions of several states

Fees and Financial Aid

The average annual fee for a BA program in a government college is between ?1,500 and ?5,000. However, some prestigious government colleges may have slightly higher fees. The Government will reimburse to the students Scholarship amount comprising Tuition Fee, Special Fee, Exam Fee and other compulsory Fees as prescribed by the Institution or Rs. 2.00 Lakh per year whichever is lesser.

Campus Life

In my college , they conduct many fest and functions twice in a month.So , Students are all enjoy to study in this college. GACBE have more interest in sports .they conduct my games in college. So , All the Students should participated in the sports.In every course studying students mostly ,two three students are joined in NCC and Nss.

Admission

I applied three college for this defence courses.Government of Arts College ( Autonomous ) , Coimbatore, Government of Arts College, Ooty, And Dr.Ambedkar Arts College, Chennai.In These Three college atmosphere and Infrastructure are good . But From my native place, coimbatore college are near of my home .that s why I joined this GACBE , COIMBATORE.

Head of The Department,Sita Mam are very kindful to students and she friendsly attached to every students and In studies, she teach the subject clearly to understand by the students.And The Other subject teachers are also very kindful.If the students ask about the doubt in subjects , the faculties are clearly teach to solve the doubts of students.The My favourite Teacher is My HOD Mam . She run the department so peacefully And then she conduct many fest and culturals to spread the famous of our department.This Defence department is one of the rarest course in tamil nadu . My collage full of nature covered, birds sound in after 6.00 pm I loved it. And college is like greenish and opposite site there is thindal murugan kovill this is so good
Fancy store and canteen also have in our college. Big sports ground also have in our college, hand ball was so good in our college we also celebrated 50th year celebration of college
Pongal celebration are celebrated highly like columbus and many games are there in pongal celebration in inside our college we are celebrated happily. Food also provided in our college

Dislikes

I didn't like that our staff keep test in lunch hours also . They strictly maintain the class always test , seminars
No western dress wear in our department I didn't like that chudi and pant full covered shall we want to wear in our college
No free hours given . Home work like scholl . I fill I am going to school

Course Curriculum Overview:

Surroundings are good. Exam timing 3 hours . And normal internal test is about one hour maximum one and half hour. Test are strictly maintain. Teaching in tamil can understand by students I think so . And ppt method need more in class . Staff to teach all the lessons and students sometimes take one part of lesson

My sweet college days!!

Likes

College environment was very neat and clean always.
The birds they kept at the front side campus were so pleasant and calm
Campus was large in size and comfortable

Dislikes

College management is very strict in handling students
College management allot less money as prize money for academic winners
Students should get pass even for 2 minutes late entry

Course Curriculum Overview:

The department of English not only offers good education but also so many values to lead our life. Faculties were so friendly in clearing students' doubts. There was personality development course to improve students' personality. Students had to choose any other subjects other than they are studying for sbi course. Due to this students learn about other subjects too.

The rigour of the course is very intense. The syllabus which is followed here is intense and rigorous. Its unique compared to the syllabus offered in other colleges of India.
Staff lore is very good in MSE. Most of the staffs encourage doubts and are also willing to have conversations with you. Faculties are knowledgeable and they know there stuff very well. They take much interests if you reach out to them through mail.
They provide a lot of guest lectures which gives us a lot of exposure and we get to know how economics works in the real life policy making sectors.

Dislikes

Theres no opportunities for sports and extra curricular activities. They don’t conduct any events rather it is done by putting our own money and by the efforts of the students only.
The campus is very small, and there are no proper areas for sports etc and also the canteen is very bad. It is super minimal.
If you want social life then this college is not the place, only the studious one survive here. Well you can still make friends here but then the college ‘itself’ does not provide any social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well the course provides almost everything which is needed and available. This is not a normal economics course as it involves statistics,python, core math and also dives into data science. This allows the students to explore various subjects and can choose which is their best fileld. The curriculum overall is very rigorous and intense but you can crack it if you study regularly. About the frequencies of the examinations, we have 2 internal examinations and 1 end semester examination. I can guarantee that this course is super rigorous but im not sure if i would necessarily say that the course is "practical" and it helps us in the real word. I cannot comment on the practicality of the courses. The exams are not super difficult and its moderate. Getting more than 90% can be challenging although clearing the paper won't be an impossible task.

Peaceful atmosphere where we can concentrate and study
weekly dawah class where we can learn many things
Qualified faculty members who are always ready to help us out

Dislikes

The fees structure of the college is little high
They do not provide any study material to prepare ourself for semester exams
They do not take us for a long trip to make our mind feel fresh

I choose government colleges coimbatore and pollachi. As my 12th mark is high i choosed the college that is near my home. No i didn't get any rejection from any other colleges. I applied to many top colleges like psg,grd and i also got selected but other colleges for choosing the CS course they ask donation.If you want to get a degree with low fee cost then government college is the best option you can get a degree by spending just 10000 (including sem and other fees)for the overall course.Other colleges fees are high so i didnt like to join there.Admission process is a worst experience when i went to 1st counselling it started at 9.00AM and all the process ended at 7.00 PM...Read More
