What Students Say
Likes
- It's the area and the facilities that made me fall in love with this college.
- Since I was into badminton and I was not sure whether I will get that opportunity here but at IET, it's one of the best courts that I have ever seen.
- An auditorium that is capable of accomodating over 1000 students in one go is no less than a marvel.
Dislikes
- Hostels inside the campus are not that well maintained and especially the boys hostels.
Course Curriculum Overview
Engineering is everyone's dream and tech enabled business are the ones which are doing well. So what choice do one have rather than going for it. Our curriculum is appropriate and good enough to make us learn all aspects of coding and how technology is built. So I am satisfied with how academics or our college are I don't any who can even think of complaining about how the academics here works.
Placement Experience
Placements one will not believe but yes we don't get 40-50Lakhs packages but we get jobs for sure. Last year our of 200+ CSE students almost 70% got job through campus. COFORGE, Cape Gemini and other national and overseas companies come to hire a majority of students. 6-15 lakhs is mostly the bracket and average falls somewhere between 8-9 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees in engineering colleges and especially in private colleges are bomb these days. However it's not the case in IET as 1.14 lakhs for a year is totally justified. It is sad that general category students have to pay this much while lower class students literally are given so much scholarships. They pay as low as half of what we pay for a year.
Campus Life
Encore is our annual fest and it is like one of the best events among colleges of the state. We have over 100 acres of area in campus. More than area it's the facilities as one of the biggest auditorium Ram Prasad Bismil auditorium of our campus has been praised by many top personalities who have come for guest lectures or as a guest. Grounds are so damn good that students enjoy playing without thinking of getting injured.
Admission
JEE scores which are then followed by counselling of UPSEE is how one gets admission here. Not really I will call it rejection but who doesn't want to go to IITs and it was my dream too and that is why I gave JEE. IET Lucknow happened as I wanted to go to a big city for education and also I wanted that city too be affordable too. Hence, I chose IET and Lucknow as for me it was a dream come true.
Faculty
Faculties at IET, Lucknow are no less than marvels. I could have called them gems but I guess Marvel will do. I am from Bihar and likewise we have students from numerous states but one can never feel outsider here from teachers. They see all of us from the same lens and hence no partiality is served at IET from faculty's end.
