Course Curriculum Overview

4

It's a good curriculum. I wouldn't say it's the best but I get good knowledge on different aspects of the course and I can use and apply this knowledge to my everyday life too and under real world applications. I don't have any suggestions on how to improve the teaching methods as of now. The timing of exams are fine although some students might find themselves busy with other college work and activities during the prep time

Internships Opportunities

3

Internship opportunities are usually offered by the second year. Most of these internships usually do not have any pay. Companies like Goldman Sachs are a bit more common. I am not very aware of what projects and tasks are given in these internships

Placement Experience

3.5

Yes there are campus placements. Students are eligible for placements after completing their third year. Before that there is only internships. The college has placements with many conpanys some of which like Goldman Sachs, Oracle, Amazon, ICICI Bank, etc. I'm not aware of how many offer have been made. As of what I know the highest salary is about 12 lacs per annum and the least is about 4 lacs. The percentage of students getting placed varies every year as some students prefer to go look for jobs themselves rather than relying on the campus placements. Personally I would have to wait and see which direction I would go.

Fees and Financial Aid

So the yearly course fee for bba general 1.10 lacs per annum. It's a pretty reasonable fee when compared with other big colleges across Bangalore. Besides that other expenses may include examination fees which usually are about 1k and other miscellaneous. The fees can be paid through card, cash, UPI, and other modes of payment but the preferred mode is usually online. Some fees may be lesser for candidates that falll under an sc/st caste. For scholarships the amount that is taken out for u depends on what type of scholarship you apply for. Further details can be viewed on the college website regarding the scholarship fees.

Campus Life

4

Campus Life is fun and exciting of you go around the type of people you like. Being involved in social activities and clubs are exciting too but at times can be little hectic too. How active a person is depends on their willingness to join and be part of these activities and clubs. We often have fests from different departments. Acumen is one fest that is common in our department that is usually a held a month or two prior to the joining of the new students i.e August or September. The library is always open to every student and has almost everything you would need. Facilities and technological provisions are up to standard but not the highest of highs. Sports is a little tricky as only few sports can be played in the campus but there is a new ground being opened by the college being used only for sports. There are lots of other extracurricular activities offered like music, dance, art, etc. There are also a few clubs that you can join

Admission

I applied to colleges like Joseph's, Christ, Alliance, ISME, etc. I wasnt accepted in christ and Joseph's however. I did have a second chance but didn't go through with it. I felt quite comfortable with Kristu Jayanti. Few reasons are that the fees was by far more affordable than the others and despite that I didn't see a compromise on the campus quality and the faculty. I didn't make it to the other colleges mostly because I didn't make it to the all the way to the end of the admission process. In KJC the admission process varies from course to course. In my admission process your chances of getting selected depend highly on your 10th and 12th marks and how u do on your interview. Any exam that is recognised by the Indian board is acceptable and foreign exams in the case of NRIs or foreigner I guess. The admission process was smooth and fast.

Faculty

3.5

There are many faculty members working here. Ratio wise of faculty to student I'd say it's about 1 : 10 but I might be wrong. Now approachibility wise I'd say most of them are friendly and helpful but there are a few that aren't so. I don't have any favourites nor any ones that I didn't like to name out. So every semester we have 4 exams, 2 being online mcqs and the other 2 being written examinations. The difficulty varies from student to student and subject to subject but overall it isn't the most toughest. Seeing a student fail is usually quite rare but you may find few in the more difficult subjects. The course curriculum is pretty relevant to today's world.

Placement Experience:

I have not yet attended any of the placement scenario, so I cannot say much about the placements. I also do not know correctly about the percentage of students placed. There are various companies that come to our campus for interviews. There are around 40-50 companies that are welcomed. Some of them are Infosys, Wipro, TCS, HCL, HP, and so on. The average package can roughly be like Rs. 2.5 lakh per annum.
