Remarks

Well it's a really good university for students who do not want to take a year back and see if they can clear out JEE-mains to get started with their college life. University is keenly focused on new technologies and startups for a change and has a lot of potential for deserving students. Only thing is it's areally big infrastructure and can tire you by the end of the day without having any energy left.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum for Computer Science Department is really good. Some students who might have never seen a computer or operated one might find difficulty in the first two semesters but teaching is really good so the problem faced can be cleared out by faculties. Course design for each semester is really sleek that first year you have to learn the basics which you might have even studied in class 11th and 12th. Second-year start with some advanced subjects with in-depth knowledge about required fields. First two years are common for everyone. After that in third year you have to opt for majors choosing your field like IoT, AI, Android Development etc. and on the basis of that you also have to select for placements type. While between all this you can also apply for internship and training. Exams are really systematic and scheduled. Each semester has two main exams i.e. mid term and end term exams. While in between them you have Continuous Assesments(CA) which are also scheduled one week before comencment. Exam dates are also outed in one month of beggining of semester so students can plan their vaccation accordingly. Exams pattern is mostly objective in mid-terms and objective plus subjective in end-terms which offline. But type of exam depends on subject to subject while CAs can be conducted online also.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements and Job opportunities are increasing exponentially both in terms of salary and selections. Recently three students got placed and got a package of Rs 28 lakhs per annum from the computer science department. The average salary of the placed students is about 5 lakhs per annum. They also focus on new technologies like Big Data, Data Science, Machine learning, etc. so students can get a much better package. University also has a startup school which provides exposure to all the students who want to be an entrepreneur which is really encouraging for upbringing bright minds. If the idea of students is good enough they provide him with resources and incubation for their startup to take off. Right now many of the students have opened their startup and many more are out there creating innovative ideas. The internship is sort of provided by the university in the form of summer training but you can apply for a part-time job as well. While some internships require you to pay the money. But it also has a referral program for some internships.

College Events

4

The campus of the university is really a happening campus, events are happening in campus everyday. Regularly different types of event based on different topics, presentation etc. events are organized. But some of the events are pride of campus like One India, One World, SPECTRA, etc. Due to diversity of the college we cannot just organize events based on Indian traditions and cultures so One World is all about students representing different country showcase their art, traditions and make a beautiful momento out of the oppurtunity to tell other students and faculties about thier rich heritage. One India focuses on Indian tradition in which students represent states of India. Division of Student welfare handles all the events and assign a club to it for proper supervision. Each educational department get assigned a country/state in these two events. While other events related to different subjects are also organized in these events. All these events let the students and staff feel relaxed and make them live in complete harmony and love.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is really feasible as the university is growing and needs to prove it's capabilities before making any false promises. Thus they are keeping their fees really low as compared to other private universities of this level and also provides scholarship to students on basis of 12th percentage and merit on basis of the entrance exam. Which decreases the amount much more than any university.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides scholarships based on your popularity, marks of 12th standard, and ranking in the LPU-NEST exam which provides students with 10%-90% on tuition fee wavier to students and an extra 5% wavier if the student opts early to the college also known as early decision benefit. While there is no decrement in a hostel, food, laundry charges.

Campus Life

4.5

Many events and workshops are held for nurturing students' mind and to tell them about another new interesting tech emergence. University time to time conducts sports events for students as well as faculties for refreshment and a healthy lifestyle. For all the co-curricular activities a Division of Student Welfare is created where students can join clubs of their respective choice and can also participate in events organized by those clubs.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels are what they are supposed to be nothing more nothing less. There are options for different seatings like 4 seaters, 3 seaters, dorm rooms, apartments etc. All the hostels of boys and girls are separated and no one is allowed to enter another hostel without any permission. Security is very strict to provide any loose ends to students which might cause harm to students. All hostels are equipped with cameras on corridors and staircases. Drinking water supply in every corridor on every floor of every block. Elevators are also provided to students for 5th floor and above. Electricity comes 24x7. Each non-AC room is equipped with an AC/Cooler, beds, bathroom, toilet, fans, almirah, tables, chairs and tube lights. Where students have to buy mattresses themselves.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, they are indeed helpful they provide us with knowledge for getting better grades and how to maintain your skillset in order to get a good job. They act as the mentor for the life we are about to live. Many give information about how to tackle problems in university life and work stress related problems.

Faculty

4

Faculties of the university are diverse coming from all the regions of India and have adverse knowledge of thier respective fields. You can also call out for mentors for help regarding you studies, placements if you are stuck in projects etc. they either help you or send you out to the teacher with more knowledge on that field. They are all broad and open-minded who really don't do racism based on color, race etc. They have already accepted the emergence of new technologies and endorse anyone who is working or making a step in the advanced field. Student with less understandability has the most focus of teachers because it makes them their responsibility to bring that student in all the ways they can help.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
