Course Curriculum Overview
Btech in cse is very helpful in todays technical world. Everything revolves around technology. So this is the reason why I choose btech cse. In lpu the course was huge , but there was less time to implement. In a semester we only gets around 3-3.5 months to learn any subject. Instead atleast we should get 5-5.5 months to learn any subject. For eg learning new language takes little time. But the faculty were helpful and clear doubts when ever required. Exams are of moderate level except some subjects like aptitude, java, dsa.
Internships Opportunities
There were many companies offering internships with stipend like agumentik group, etc. In last semester everyone has to submit a project in their domain which was mandatory to pass. Failing would lead to backlog and hold in degree.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester company starts to be visible on placement portal. Many companies like TCS, Capgemini, kpit etc visited the campus. Highest package was about 12 lpa and the average package is around 4-5 lpa. In 2024 , percentage of students getting placement declined due to recession and only 30-40% only got placed. I've completed the degree, and got the placement in the company Capgemini.
Fees and Financial Aid
Per semester fees was 1 lakh and there was scholarship too , based on the score in the entrance test of LPU named lpu nest. Student who score more than 90% marks is eligible for scholarship upto 30% of the fees. Student who scores 70-80% gets 20% scholarship.
Campus Life
Annual fest like one world in which students of different states participate in the fest , showing culture of their states. Library is large and all kind of books are available . Class rooms are spacious with digital white board and ac . Lpu is well known for its sports and extracurricular activities. There were huge opportunities to grab .
Admission
Lpu is well known in btech especially in cse which attracts many students to take admission in lpu. I did got confirmed admission from Chandigarh University but I choose lpu over other colleges because it provides good opportunities compare to other colleges in terms of placement. Admission process starts with the registration fee of 10000 rs and then we need to appear for lpu nest test. Qualifying the test we are eligible for scholarship and admission is confirmed. All science students who completed their 12th are eligible to appear in lpu nest test.
Faculty
Some faculties were really nice and helpful. The worst faculty was sami anand who was the placement cell coordinator. Hello never speaks in good tone to any student who approaches him. Some faculties like chakradari pandey sir who was helpful. There were 4 ca out of which 3 best will be counted and one mid term exam and lastly final exam in all the semester.
