Remarks

The college management is very strict regarding attendance and discipline. If you have shortage in attendance then you will not be allowed to sit in exam.

Entrance Preview

I took admission through AIEEE entrance. My all india rank was 15150. There are several college in kolkata but it is one of the best in its group. PCMT had an excellent record in placement from the very beginning. I had also discussed with some of the ex-student of this college and everyone told me to take admission in it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

PCMT provide excellent facilities in every stream. The faculties were well experienced in their respective fields. They are very friendly and helpful.

Internships Opportunities

There are several companies came in our campus like,HCL,WIPRO,TCS,EMERSON,DELTA,ARDENT,BSNL and many more. I was selected for BSNL. I usually got 8000 as a stipend plus free accommodation.

Placement Experience

PCMT provides 100% placement to all of its students. They have a very good track record in it. Most of the students used to get more than one job offer.

College Events

4.5

Not only in studies but also in other fields like sports, fest various technical seminar PCMT is no 1.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a tie up with SBI bank. You can easily avail education loan with a very reasonable interest rate. There are also several scholarship available in our college like J.C Bose scholarship which one is given to needy students.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life of PCMT is just awesome. The seniors were very much helpful. You can enjoy the hostel as well as college life very much as there are sports ground for both cricket and football. There are also cultural room for activities like debates, singing etc.

Hostel Facilities

PCMT has separate hostel for boys and girls. Every room is well equipped with essential goods like table chair light fan etc. There are 24*7 electricity available in hostel. There were security guards in gate to block unauthorized entry of unknown perso

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

The college seniors are just awesome. You will get all kind of help in your career as well as professional life.

Likes

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. The remaining drives mostly service based companies like TCS, EY etc and quite a few startups has visited to main campus. The package they offered mostly in between 3.5lpa - 6 lpa. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Likes

The discipline is followed very strictly. Also you have access to library which is good, teachers are helpful and no ragging policy which is strictly followed and has a decent environment.
Thery conduct seminars which encourages students. Many faculty members are knowledgeable experienced in their respective subjects and helpful willing to solve doubts beyond the classroom also.
The college has decent infrastucture including classrooms, labs and library .

Dislikes

While the curriculum is decent ,it lacks sufficeint practical implementation.More hands on projects, real world application and industry exposure would improve learning significantly.
Campus life can sometimes fell limited in terms of active student interaction.Opportunites for clubs, networking and collaborative activities could be improved.
The college comes under St tHomas School so the campus is not great it is compact and has a canteen.

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Classrooms are well equipped and are spacious.
There are many fun events that happen in the college

Dislikes

The campus area is too small. The library is not good
The societies are fully controlled by students so huge partiality goes on.
Some of the teachers are mean and are not good.

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

Average Makaut college with no placements.

The admission process for the course was relatively straight forward, with a focus on extrance exams like JEE and WBJEE . These Exams served as primary criteria for admission, and the scores obtained were valid for application. To begin the application process, prospective students could find the application form on the official websites of the respective entrance exams. The application fees varied depending on the exam and the category of the applicant, with different rates for general and reserved categories. Overall, while the admission process for the course may have its strengths, such as the use of established entrance exams and relatively low cutoff scores, there is always room for improvement to enhance transparency, fairness, and the overall quality of the process....Read More
