Remarks

I like this college because it has the 100% placements.no entrance exams for admission, just you need good marks in your school.my admission in this college was so good.you need above 60% to get admission in this college

Course Curriculum Overview

My course is the best course. Data science has the main job in future.I choosed this course because I have some interest In this course. The timing of exams are not difficult, but you need to study on time.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Internships Opportunities

We have done many internship in companies.the internship will be very useful for our placements. HRH next provided the stipend of 5000 for working in their company for 1 month.we have also done project for this.

Placement Experience

My college is famous for placements, from 5th semester you are eligible for placements.yearly more than 10 companies will visit our college for placements.students need above 85% to get placed in good companies

Fees and Financial Aid

In my college the yearly fees for my course is 80000.In extras, for semester exams you need to pay.for practicals you need to pay extra.for every batch this is the same fee structure.we have extra courses also

Campus Life

My college good for both studies and sports, we have monthly extra curricular activities.which we can participate in any of the events.the biggest event is Adividya (symposium),for that more than 1000 students for different college will participate in that event.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is good.we have free wifi in the hostel.but the food alone will not be good sometimes.other than everything will be good. No non veg in our college, they will provide only veg, that is the sad thing in hostel

Hostel Fee: INR 140000 per year

Faculty

My college faculties are so good.they will be friendly for students.i like every staffs in my college and exams are held monthly, like internals, which will be easy to get pass marks and easy to score good marks

Nit Trichy B.Sc. B.ed. student review

Likes

girls to boys ratio is 1:1 is we consider all three branches with some courses with more male while other having for female.more or less the ratio is near 1:1
the most important thing for you is there is close to zero discrimination for you , whether you want to join any club or perform anything you are equivalent to students with others bachelor degree
octagon and library are the two things which are good as library is considered the biggest library among all nit's while octagon having 800 computers for students.NSO ground is also well maintained with the beautiful mig fighter jet to take cool phot

Dislikes

for first years hostel are well maintained if compared with others but don't expect much from hostel atlast this is a government college.in first year 3 to 4 person sharing room are there which was build to carry 2 person.
Quant and entrepreneur thing is not there as you might expect by seeing the nirf 9 ranking but it is not zero .they are growing clubs like profNITT and Sigma are young and they could do better
curfew timing for girls are 9 or 9:30 pm i guess be it any year. for boys ,only freshers have curfew with timing 9:30 pm.other than that any student can't step outside the college after 10 pm without the sign out form.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as maths is the mother of all science and quite related to other fields so it opens a lot of door for me like mba ,mtech ,phd or any other things. this course is specifically designed for becoming teachers so keep that in mind before taking this course as they are not flexible in changing curriculum or adding something for the sake of students as of now. also you will be having more working days compared to other courses with 80 percent mandatory attendance.after first sem you will get 1 week holiday and after 2nd sem you will get 50.days holiday and after first year you can expect 20 days holiday for winters and 50 days holiday for summers. you will get a lot of time to study for exams. before ct 1 you can expect 2 months and then atleast a month for ct 2 and endsems. cons are that you don't have the right to choose minor or electives like btech students.you have to compulsory study all three science .i.e. maths , physics, chemistry.

The college is strict regarding alcohol and smoking and it is not allowed inside campus and regular alcohol checks are conducted . Discipline and safety is the first priority for the college.

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

Likes

The faculties are very well experienced and there are captains who stay in the campus itself, so if there’s something we need they will be available all the time
The facilitieslike labs, ship in campus, DB tank facilities etc are top notch
The classrooms are fully air conditioned. There’s smart board. Overall everything is really good and also neat and clean

Dislikes

Galley food can improve a little and canteen is comparatively small for such a big campus
They are not conducting intra- college events and inter-college events is very less

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good in HIMT. I got placed in 1st year itself in MOLMI. All faculties try their best to prepare us for the placements and it shows in the placement interview also. Usually companies come for placements from 2nd year but there are some companies who want to take girl cadets 1st year itself. MOLMI, MOLTA etc came to our college for placements. After completion of the course, company will call for induction and accordingly they will call for joining the ship. For finishing the cadet ship , we have finish 12 months of sea time. After that a lot courses has to be done for appearing in 2 nd mates exam.
