Course Curriculum Overview

4

Based on my experiences I would give 4 and half rating for the course curriculum, which is offered by Sapthagiri College of Engineering (SCE), it can be said that the provided curriculum covers the appropriate area of specialization which is promising in the present competitive world with enhanced techniques. This is largely because the insets such as practical lab content and exercises have a strong bearing in helping me to opt for this course. Further, liberal Arts provides an opportunity to choose focused areas of study in fields such as artificial intelligence and data science thus making the program flexible to a range of career interests. The curriculum is suitable for preparing students for various practical fields. PBPL and internships offers practice-based knowledge, and while workshops and guest speakers discuss current topics and approaches. This combination ensures that we have skills that make us professionals in the modern world, as well as skills that make us aspiring scholars of highest order. However, there are room for enhancement. More frequent industry interactions via additional workshops might supply additional realistic expertise. Further, increasing the opportunities of taking an interdisciplinary course  would improve flexibility in diverse working positions. With reference to examinations, the internal tests frequency and end semester examination are reasonable but more tests could be conducted all through the semester to reduce pressure. The exams are tough but not unduly so – they will test your knowledge of theories and their applied use-source Examples of knowledge: Explicit-Broad ERN and Variants Focused-Adult, Children, Teenage and Specific ERN Knowledge of theoretical concepts: Intermediate-Advanced Therefore, SCE has properly planned curriculum that prepares student for professional practice as well as for further academic studies, with the modification mentioned aligning the curriculum more to real life situation.

Placement Experience

The result achieved by the students of Sapthagiri College of Engineering (SCE) in placement scenario indicates that many students are getting placed in top most companies. Campus placement options start from the 6th semester of the courses offered in this institution. The college has a placement cell that works by get in touch with several companies and employers in order to conduct recruitment exams. Several companies come to the campus, some of which can be named as Infosys, Wipro, TCS and many others. The situation that the college offered the figure of [insert number of offers made] last year prove the high interest in graduates from SCE. The highest package was of around ?[insert highest package] while the median was somewhat ?[insert average package]. These packages differ depending on the profiles with prospects in software development, data science, and engineering positions. The placement record at SCE is quite high, every year almost [insert percentage]% of the students getting placements through campus interviews. This figure is an evidence of its efficiency of the college in preparing students for workplace. Of my future goals after obtaining a degree I have the following goals: securing a job in [enter preferred field such as software engineering, data analysis, etc.]. I am also still thinking whether I shall advance my studies in the university or gain specific certification like a master’s degree in order to be marketable in the field. In general, due to massive placement cell at SCE facilitated me to ensure for achieving my career-oriented targets.

The situation is that many students find an internships and job offer with the top companies and it is easier for them to switch from education to work. Campus Life

Social Aspects and Festivals Several annual and technical festivals are organized by SCE that help inculcate the feeling of unity among students and also epitomises talent among them. Sapthotsav is the annual cultural fest, held in February where cultural events, music and dance competitions form the major part of the fest. There is a technical fest, Techfest in September which contains technical workshops, hackatons, and technical competitions for the development of innovations among the students. Library Resources The college library has a large collection of books and journals and has a number of computers containing research and books for e-study both supporting our learning and projects. Classroom Facilities Facilities that help in learning process at SCE includes Projectors and smart boards to make the learning fun with classes and lee also there is ability to access online resources. Physical Activities and Other Co-Curricular Activities The campus maintains a good combination of studies and co curricular activities and has amenities for basketball, cricket and badminton. Numerous co¬ curricular such as music, dancing, robot, etc are available for the students where they can practice their potentials. Students Association and Social Networking Organizations Some of the developed students associations include; Robotics Club and Cultural Club which helps to support the extra-curricular activity of a student on campus. They conduct competitions and seminars, help to develop such skills as team working and leadership. Information provision by the Student Council also enhances student activities and their relationship with the faculty.

Admission

SCE was preferred over the other colleges mainly for the reasons of practical teaching and linking with an industry. I used to fill my applications to various colleges such as [insert names of colleges] but SCE offered registration to its modern structures and faculty dedicated to its students. I found it critical for my engineering education, other institutions did not offer the same amount of experience in hands on practice and industry oriented curriculum. I got calls from [insert names of confirmed colleges] for admission but because of the concentration given to emerging technologies and the elective system I preferred SCE. However, being that I could not make it to some of the colleges, I was rejected by [insert names of rejected colleges]. In those cases I assume my applications were not as good as they might have been more academically or at least extracurically. The admission process of SCE is quite simple. Applicants who wish to apply should have completed their 10+2 standard education with major subjects being science. The college mostly prefers the scores of the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) and ComedK, but KCET is the most popular among students. The passing point in these exams differs from one year to another but in most cases, one has to achieve relatively high marks, due perhaps to the reputation of the college. All in all, I can say that successful admission process done in SCE due to the fact that communication and interactions with the admission staff members were friendly. This commitment to the success of the student made it my pleasure to join the college.

Faculty

Sapthagiri College of Engineering (SCE) currently relishes experience d faculty members most of who possess M.Tech and Ph.D qualifications. Their approach is to get instructors with academic background and real-world practice dealing with students in their education. I think that the best thing is that the faculty of this university is friendly and does not only come to classes as teachers but also as guides for students. The structure of lecturing of courses in SCE is well thought out and the institution follows the semester system. Seven of the first nine semesters are dedicated to engineering stream subjects including basic principles. Over the course, the offered elective courses enable students to further focus in AI, Big Data or Robotics, respectively. A particular emphasis is made to complete hands-on practical lab works each semester so that theoretical knowledge is supported by prac Apart from academic learning, the students carry out mini projects in third year and an ultimate project at end of the program which encourages creativity. SCE uses ordinary assessment administered by faculty staff and end of the semester examination administered by the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). Lectures tests, which are called internal assessments, total three per semester, result to 20-25 marks while end semester examinations constitute 75-80 marks making every theory subject to cover a total of 100 marks. Like practical subjects internal assessments are also marked out of 20 and practical examination out of 80. In this structured manner of delivery students do not only get to learn the subject content, but also gain essential skills for order practical application hence qualify for appropriate engineering careers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
