What Students Say

Likes

I like the environment of my college, its kinda postive always
Teachers are very friendly and they are always ready to help

Dislikes

I think practical course need training,so they should work on it
Most of students came for time pass and they do lots of drugs

Course Curriculum Overview

I think this course might help me to enter in IT industry and let me sharpen my hemisphere of skills that are required to run an company and team...though i don't think college provide any specific training and placement programs for students.Even teachers just cover syllabus they don't provide any extra material and skills

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 45000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Currently I'm pursuing MSC.IT from mata gujri college, though according to me fee structure is not affordable for many students and the they don't provide any training sessions because my course is practical and to get a job i need to learn any particular software language so that i can compete but they don't provide any such things even there is no scope for placements.I think it's just waste of time and money without training.

Campus Life

According to me the students and the staff of college is very friendly except some of them. Though therevis no club in college and only political parties involved in every activities. Overall infrastructure is average according to the fee structure

Admission

No,I didn't applied for this course in any other college but I particularly applied in this college bcause I don't have to travel to much for it..its local college and the students and the staff is also local so people here are helpful and the environment is positive

Faculty

In each semester ,mid semesters are conducted two times and then finals..furthermore exams level is moderate but marking is way to strict. I think computer department have the best faculty members and the canteen is not justifiable it's to nasty and staff is to rude and arrogant. Though girls ratio is less campared to boys in every faculty

University life

Likes

The infrastructure and faculty is very good. The university campus is very big containing different departments with the well qualified teachers. The teaching methods are very good and we can approach easily to the management for our queries.
The discipline is very well in the university campus. The proper follow up of rules and regulations is there in the campus. The rules regarding ragging are very strict and nobody will be forgive if caught in such offences.
The placement rate of the university is quite well in each and every department whether it is biosciences or engineering or any other department. The university ensures that each and every deserving student should get placement.

Dislikes

The first thing I dislike about university is the students are not allowed to use lifts because for some departments the classes takes place on top floors and it is very difficult for students to climb those floors multiple times.
The other thing I dislike is the problem of traffic outside the main campus gate in morning mad evening time. It take lot of time to get out of that traffic and it ultimately makes students late for their classes.
The last thing I dislike is there is no free transportation services for students inside campus because the size of university is very big and to go from one point to other the students have to walk a lot.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course offers theoretical as well as practical knowledge It prepare me very well for outside life and obstacles that I will face in outside world I think individual students must be asked for learning There is no such difficulty level

Overall having good experience

Likes

Environment is safe compared to other university.
Teachers are supportive and with excellent skills.
Having good infrastructure and well developed.

Dislikes

Not recruiting teachers by thier experience.
Not having transportation facility within the blocks.(from one block to another)
Not enough companies coming for placements .

Course Curriculum Overview:

In this we get brief information of computer science and more options of placement. Curriculum is based on all computer and to obvious reasons it relate to real-world as well as virtual. To my accord teachers must pay attention to practical work not to just completing syllabus and writing theories. The timing and difficulty level of exams are good. Again it's depend upon the subjects chosen.

MGC( FATEHGARH SAHIB) life

I went of Chandigarh University for admission in b.tech(computer science). But the fee structure is not well. As my parents are govt. Officials I have to pay around 1 lakh 40 thousand (1 yr). But they offer for cuet exam but if I appear for exam and got even 100 they will just reduce around 3-4k but I don't want to spent this much. so I skip the thought of studying there. My another dream was to study in Punjab University Chandigarh but before I apply for exam. the date was expired, so there was no chance and according to my interest this was the only course available in this affordable fee structure and this college is around 17 km from my home. Last is the admission process to take admission in my course all you need is you must have done with the maths subject in (11,12th). And then they ask for your percentage If you have percentage in 12th above 80% you will get 1 or 2 k concession. There is no cutoff in our college. It is well occupied with Students. I think my college will have 9000 + students...Read More
