Course Curriculum Overview
Well everyone is chasing CSE but it confuses as it has many aspects but ICT is industry based program and therefore many companies now ICT students over CSE students. Exams are quite regular and a normal thing because difficulty level to be honest ain't that high.
Placement Experience
PDEU believes in skill building and therefore it all starts from second semester. Our labs sessions are also more of teaching us skills than just the coding so during the end of the 6th semester, we are informed t be ready. Companies like Google, Amazon, and BSE among others which are now going to be available in GIFT CITY have made tie-ups with our university. The average placements as of now stands at 10 lakhs which soon wil cross 20 lakhs once the Gift City is operational.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for ICT is 130000 and likewise for all engineering streams it's different. For general category I am saying as for reserved or special category students fees is compensated with 25-60% scholarships.
Campus Life
PDEU's annual fest is Flare but the one that makes most noise is our annual sports fest PETRO CUP. All the colleges of Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad and others are invited and almost 40 sports are played. Last year PDEU became champion in 20 of those sports. Over 6000 students study here and tu campus is spread in acres and acres of land. We have many restaurants inside the campus and also sports ground with proper kits and coaches.
Hostel Facilities
There are 6 girls hostels inside the campus and nearly 1200 girls reside in those hostels. From 2 seater to 3 seater we have rooms of both categories. I live in a 2 seater room and the fees for the same is 120k. Mess is good in most days but sometimes it isn't but who cares we have many cafes inside and outside the campus.
Admission
When a top universities like PDEU exists why will one even think of choosing any other university. PDEU has its own entrance and it is tough as students from almost all the regions apply for PDEU. So, getting admissions here ain't that easy as 50% is Gujarat quota and therefore 50% students are from Gujarat but rest from other parts of the country.
Faculty
PDEU faculties are not just best in India but in the world as top most faculties have been spotted and then have been brought to the PDEU campus. Likewise faculties also spot the students talent more than what they can see and push then to achieve greater heights.
Night Life
Hostels are inside the campus and we have to mark our presence by 10pm. We however can roam inside the campus till 2 am and we have cafes and coffee shop that are opened till 4am in the morning. From Chaios to Shiva Cafe to Literature Coffee, students not just from our University but from GNLU which is right next to our colleg are also spotted there till late night.
