Course Curriculum Overview

4

As I choose mechanical engineering the main reason for choosing it was that I didn't loved coding and all so dropped all software branches and had a little interest in designing. And here in mech we get learn software like cad , solidworks, catia etc. The curriculum here is good new subjects as been added to be with ongoing activities and to make the candidates a better person to work in the industry. For of improvement the curriculum should be more practical knowledge based . The exam happenes with a good interval of time here and students get sufficient amount to study for them. Talking about the difficulty of the they aren't so hard and not so easy they are moderate , and if you prepare well you can definitely score good in them .

Internships Opportunities

5

Our college has a dedicated career services team that actively supports students in securing internships, offering resources such as resume workshops, interview preparation, and networking events. Additionally, there are regular career fairs where students can connect with recruiters from various industries. The college also has its strong alumni network, with alumni mentoring sessions and partnerships with top companies, which makes finding internships more accessible. Here we get various internship opportunities from Tech and Engineering Internships,Business and Finance Internships ,Marketing and Communications Internships. And many more .

Placement Experience

5

From 7th and majorly form the 8th semester the students become eligible for the campus placement. Every year many companies visit our college like Goldman Sachs, Google, Infosys ,TCS , oracle, etc and offer a great amount of package to many students many students even get PPO. The highest package of this year was somewhere 61LPA and the average was 9 LPA. Somewhere around 82-83% students were placed this year and with good amount of packages My plan after getting the degree is pursuing a master's degree in abroad

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees for a open/ general candidate is around 1 lakh 93 thousand. In which the tution fees is close to 1 lakh 62 thousand. The fees are varied for various categories for OBC/EBC/EWS/SEBC category students the yearly fees is 1.11 lakh. FOR VJ/DT/NT/SBC it's 30 thousand and for SC/ST it's around 6000. For PWD/Orphan it's 29 thousand and as there is special quota for J and K students their fees is also 30 thousand. There are various scholarships available for students, the all are available on the Maha dbt website, the scholarship are available according to your category For open candidate having annually incomes less than 8 lakh there a scholarship call EBC in which half of the tution fees (close to 81 thousand) is paid by government. There many other scholarship provided by college it self some are khusboo , etc. You can also apply for private scholarship such as reliance , tata pankh, hdfc scholarship.

Campus Life

5

There are many events happening in the college though out the year which will keep you engaged, some of them are vishwautsav, vishwakarndak and many more .As of dates the event happens during March / April. And there are many events going on monthly basis. To talk about availability of books in library, you will get all the books in the library required for your academics and some other books too . The campus offers many major sports , like football, cricket, basketball, kho kho , chess ,you will get club for each of the sports. Here in vit you will get a total of 52 clubs focusing on every domain you can think of dance , art , photography, robotics , coding.Joining these clubs gives you a various opportunity . You get to connect with many people, you get to know about the industry and all

Admission

I chose because it aligned well with my career goals and personal interests. After visiting the campus, speaking with current students, and researching its [specific programs, professors, or unique opportunities], I felt it offered the perfect blend of academic rigor and a supportive community. While other colleges I applied to, like [COEP and VJTI], had strong programs, [VIT ] stood out in mechanical engineering for its [unique strengths, e.g., cutting-edge labs, strong alumni network, location in an industry hub, small class sizes]. I valued these elements as they align well with my goals. I did apply to a few other coleges, and while I wasn’t accepted to all of them, I learned a lot from the process. I realized the importance of emphasizing , which I’ve worked on improving during my time here. Addmission process at my college is majorly on the basis of jee mains and mhtcet exam , where scoring good in these exams will definitely fetch you a seat here .

Faculty

4

The faculty to students ratio in my division is 1:69 as the 69 students are further divided in 3 batches of 23 each . There are many faculty that I liked as our calcus and stat mam as she is approachable and gives ans to the question asked to her. Even the general proficiency and student activity mam are good as support the students and help them in the activities and project if they had any problem. The sir that teaches us the python theory is also nice he is energetic and so knowledgeable about his subject . There are few teachers that I don't like not in the sense they teach worse but I just get bored and sleepy in their class for example aur AE class where the sir only reads ppt which makes it boring to learn. As of the exam there are mid sem end sem unit test going. The unit tests are online and are of 20 marks which are generally easy and are scorable. The mid sem is of 40 marks and is a offline based and is a bit tougher to score compared to units

Night Life

5

As for night life you can only get that in your hostel , as college hostel are bit far from college not in the campus itself. FOR cafeteria you will have to chk outside college campus. But you can get variety of food ,shakes, drinks in the college. For timing it's around 10 pm in the night. There aren't many places to visit in campus as the campus is bit small. Talking about roaming in the night i would suggest not to .

Remarks:

Focusing on student's attendence rather than focusing on students concepts. College is not focusing in development of students only paperwork is done. No conceptul teaching nor practical. By doing this stuff we can get a btech degree but not the knowledge a btech student should have.
