Course Curriculum Overview

Here are a few general guidelines to help you get started: Consider your reasons for testing. Will this quiz monitor the students’ progress so that you can adjust the pace of the course? Will ongoing quizzes serve to motivate students? Will this final provide data for a grade at the end of the quarter? Will this mid-term challenge students to apply concepts learned so far? The reason(s) for giving a test will help you determine features such as length, format, level of detail required in answers, and the time frame for returning results to the students. Maintain consistency between goals for the course, methods of teaching, and the tests used to measure achievement of goals. If, for example, class time emphasizes review and recall of information, then so can the test; if class time emphasizes analysis and synthesis, then the test can also be designed to demonstrate how well students have learned these things.

Placement Experience

Your Objective Before choosing an internship you must determine for yourself what you expect to gain from it. Are you looking for general industry knowledge or are you focusing on a specific skill set? As you determine your objectives, don’t be clouded by the allure of working at a major company when experience at a small business might be best for your career. Remember, when it comes to a job interview, your prospective employer is going to be more concerned with what you learned during your internship rather than where you worked. As you begin to investigate different internships, find out what you can expect to gain and make sure that lines up nicely with your own objectives. 2. Paid or Unpaid? Obviously, a paid internship is in your best interest from a financial standpoint. However, money isn’t everything and it’s not a good idea to eliminate unpaid positions before you do your research. First of all, there may not be any paid internships available in your field of study. This happens frequently in government and public sector positions. Additionally, prospective employers may look only at how you performed during your internship and they won’t care if you received a stipend or not.

Kolkata: Calcutta University has paired 39 of its affiliated colleges preparing for the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) rating with colleges that have already secured at least B+ grade. Colleges that have NAAC accreditation will mentor those preparing for it by helping them draw up strategy, providing inputs on teaching and learning, identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges, and taking steps to overcome drawbacks. “NAAC accreditation has now been made mandatory by the Centre,” said a CU official. NAAC accreditation helps an institute of higher education identify their strengths and weaknesses, switch to modern methods of teaching, attract performance-based funding to strengthen resources and infrastructure, attract meritorious students and provide qualitative data to employers for recruitment drives. Many of the 39 colleges applying for accreditation are doing it for the first time.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In my college fee is not a big deal In my college fee are suitable for rich as well as poor students also And government and our also provide some concession on fee I can't face any problems in my college

Fees and Financial Aid

With the cost of a college education continuing to rise, most students will need to consider various types of financial assistance. It is not unusual for a student’s college fund to be comprised of some combination of personal savings, family contributions, scholarships, grants and student loans. When preparing a college fund, no financial resource should be ignored. Education grants are one of the most popular, and most valuable, sources of financial assistance for college students. With the right grants, students can make their dreams of a higher education a reality.

Alumni/Alumna

Creating an engaged, supportive alumni network is crucial to an institution’s success. If communication stops once graduates leave an institution, their understanding of the university will become stale. Instead, they should be kept informed so they can remain engaged and keep abreast on the progress of the university. Good alumni relationships bring many benefits to both the institution and the alumni. Here we speak to HE professionals who work in Alumni Relations about the benefits of maintaining an engaged alumni network and how the market is changing.

college teachers 1. Study the knowledge base of teaching and learning. You have chosen to teach in higher education because you are a subject-matter specialist with a tremendous knowledge of your discipline. As you enter or continue your career, there is another field of knowledge you need to know: teaching and learning. What we know about teaching and learning continues to grow dramatically. It includes developing effective instructional strategies, reaching today’s students, and teaching with technology. Where is this knowledge base? Books, articles in pedagogical periodicals, newsletters, conferences, and online resources provide ample help. Take advantage of your institution’s center for teaching and learning or other professional development resources. 2. Accept all who enter the classroom door. Much has been written about underprepared students who enter college. Since more students attend college now than ever before, it is only rational that some are not as prepared as we might expect. Institutions are dealing with this issue, but instructors must do some rethinking about how they teach, in order to meet the needs of all learners in their classrooms. Ungraded pretests and interest inventories can be used to see what your students already know about the content you will be teaching next.
