Likes
- The campus has almost all the sports activities including a gym.
- They have a very good staff which is friendly and asks if we have any doubts always.
- We can't say there's any activity which our college and clubs doesn't organise. They provide a great exposure.
Dislikes
- The campus area is really small in size.
- The 85% attendance sucks sometimes, but it's fun to go to college.
- They have merged various branches and combined them to CSE.There's a huge crowd in CSE.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Curriculum is really nice. It is credit based. Also, there are acitivity points if we attend events organised by the clubs like social help. If we will not be able to get a certain level of activity points and credits, we will not be given our degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fees here for comedk students is 2,81,000 Rs for an year(only college tution fees)which they take on lumpsum basis, it is increasing every year, like two years back it was 2,20,000 to 2,50,000 for an year. Now, over 2.81lakh, they take 15k as VTU(University fees) fees which is compulsory and if wanna take the benefits of skill labs that's other 20k which is not compulsory. For scholarships here, karnataka students have SSP and other states students have NSP scholarships. Other than comedk exam, KCET students have a fees of 100,000 per year only and they get some benefits also over this, for example, recently our aluminies gave a scholarship fund for only KCET students(only students above 90% in PU level are eligible). Karnataka students have many benefits in the state. And lastly, the managment students, they have different fees in different branches, for eg. in CSE it is 10 lakhs per year and in ECE it is 6 lakhs per year. Adding to this they also charge 3 lakhs to 9 lakhs to the counsellors(not per year, only one time)
Campus Life
The social life in the college is really good. There are over 60 clubs in the college which covers all the activities related to technology and cultures. Over this all the sports activities are played in the campus. Our sports fest is very near in which all the sports are being organised by the sports department.
Admission
I was getting addmission in LPU and also in good colleges of Madhya Pradesh, but I was not getting NIT/IIT and the colleges I wanted like SGSITS Indore. Also, my COMEDK went well and Bangalore provides really nice exposure.
Faculty
Faculty members are really experienced. Some are friendly, some are not. But all are masters in their respective fields of teaching and are approachable. Faculty stuent ratio is 1:70. I really do like Dr Suma MN mam. She is our proctor, talks and behaves with all students nicely. There are exams organised Four times in a sem, 3 Part tests( CIE) and one End sem. I don't know the difficulty level because no exam is organised till now. CAED, Computer aided engineering drawing, is a new and a tough subject.
Night Life
Nightlife isnt really in the college, but outside the campus, there's a very good environment. Also, our college is in the main city, so all the places like Church street, kormangala, etc comes under a radius of 8 kms which isnt far for a city like bangalore.
