Likes

The infrastructure, the discipline , the Faculty.
The teachers are highly qualified and well experienced
The library, is there which is opened for 24 hours and canteens are good

Dislikes

However hostel's infrastructure needs a little improvement
Food in hostel is sometimes not that great
The main Gate of college should be changed

Course Curriculum Overview

The rising demands for infracture influenced me to join this course which is civil engineering. I have learnt alot during this course , Our university also organises Survey Camp in Himachal pradesh and we used to had industrial visits as well . The exams were moderate to difficult and no improvement was there for teaching methods

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 440000 per year

Placement Experience

From 6th semester , the placements starts The companies visited were L&T , Byjus and lots of there for especially Computer science engineers. Almost 40-50% students were placed there. Covid happened and i had to go back home

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee that i paid for my course (Btech in Civil was 110000 for an year , and for the whole course i paid 440000 . The registration fee was 5000 that will be added to your fee while taking admission in the course , i belong to SC category so i got discount of 8000 for only one semester. The University also affiliates to AICTE scholarship.

Campus Life

Every year the Tech Fest used to happen in the month of March and they always used to invite a popular Singer from Punjab. Lots of competitions in dance, singing , debate used to happen .Students used to show their cultures in form of dance and through other activities:

Hostel Facilities

Bed , fans , Table for study and a wardrobe . Meals were good although on some days not that great but it depends on one's taste buds. You can Register Yourself in hostel, the separate offices are there you can visit the offife of head warden.

Hostel Fee: INR 75000 per year

Admission

I hadn't applied for any other college other than this , The name of this university was enough to get the admission there to be honest . The admission process is very simple, you do registration in any state , because they have their offices in allost every state . And then you can visit the campus for admission

Faculty

The faculty is great and they are easily approachable and are there for you during college hours There was Rohit sir which i liked the most, Bhavna mam, they were really good The exams for a semester are Msts which happen twice in a semester and then the final summing to 3 exams in a semester

Night Life

Gym was there in the boys as well as girls hostel Although the gym was average but was sufficient to workout Coach was also there in the gym The campus timing was 9am to 4pm , not sure about other courses. Hostel breakfast time was 6-10 , lunch timing was from 12-3 and dinner 8-11

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

An honest look at campus

Likes

The university boasts an excellent, massive campus infrastructure with great amenities and highly diverse student crowd provides great cultural exposure
While the engineering batches naturally leans towards more boys (around 1:3 girl to boy ratio)
Availability off dedicated campus mentorship programming and technical club provided a great platform.

Dislikes

The campus administration enforced incredibly strict security and daily restrictions which feel a little overwhelmed
The total no of students in a course like cse is massive. So the competition for the high tier placement is very intense.
If we need any information or some help from the administration they will make it lag and go to that window this window and we will not get the information ww required

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro,cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed.The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

LPU's REVIEW WITH HONESTY AND CREDIBILITY

Likes

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Likes

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Big campus and beautiful garden and environment
Aqi was soo good because plants and tree was so much

Mess food was bad but it doesn't taste that bad
If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Likes

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

Students choose Rayat Bahra University for its affordable fee structure, good scholarship opportunities, focus on practical learning and proximity to cities like chandigarh. The variety of courses and industry-oriented programs also make it a preferred choice. About other college which I applied for failing to meet the eligibility criteria or cutoffs . Limited seats and high competition in entrance exam. Admission process of RBU for BCA is must have passed 10+2 at least. Specific relaxation is provided for SC/ST categories. New to rayat bahara university

Apart from this college i applied to cu(chandigarh university) to pursue llb i even got selected but it was a little bit expensive for me and i had also applied in ccg landra road it was not expensive but i didn't liked their campus also rayat bahra university was the best option for me because it was affordable and nice. And the admission process of our college is that first you have to fill a registration form online then you have to fill your details and the course you're applying and after that you have to pay 1000 free then they call you and tell you about further admission process and the eligibility is that you have to pass your 12th with a good percentage.
