What Students Say

Likes

Affordable fees compared to private universities.
Peaceful and scenic campus conducive to focused study.
Decent course structure covering essential CSE topics.

Dislikes

Limited placement support and industry exposure.
Infrastructure and resources need improvement.
Remote location might not suit everyone.

Course Curriculum Overview

The B.Tech CSE curriculum at HNBGU is in line with UGC norms and provides a balance between theoretical concepts and practical applications. Core subjects like Data Structures, Algorithms, Machine Learning, and Database Management are covered.

Class Size: 45Course Fees: INR 22000 per year

Placement Experience

After eighth semester all student will be able for campus placement. These are the following key aspects about placement in our university. Opportunities: Placements in core CSE companies are limited. Most placement opportunities are for roles in IT services or non-technical domains. Packages: Average salary packages range between 3-5 LPA, with only a few students securing higher-paying roles in reputed companies. Alumni Network: The alumni network is gradually growing but isn’t as influential compared to top-tier institutions.

Fees and Financial Aid

22 Thousand yearly fees for btech course in this university. National Scholarship for all the students. Fees not increase. Yearly fees is same for all year not increase. College fees is same for all the students in btech course.

Campus Life

There are many fest which are organised by this university. The university organizes technical events, hackathons, and cultural fests, but participation and resources are moderate. Clubs for coding and robotics exist but may require more active involvement and better funding.

Admission

I choose this university for the following reasons. 1) Affordable fees compared to private universities. 2) Peaceful and scenic campus conducive to focused study. 3) Decent course structure covering essential CSE topics.

Faculty

Faculty members are experienced but may not all be research-oriented. Some professors are supportive and helpful, but their teaching styles might vary. Guest lecturers or industry professionals occasionally add value. Every faculty teacher is best in his subjects. I like all of them. There are four exam yearly.

Night Life

These all facilities (like as gym, cafeterias, library and public area) are available in this university. There are many hostel for boys and girls Here are some key aspects about our campus Life 1) Location: The university is situated in Srinagar, Uttarakhand, offering a peaceful environment but limited exposure to urban tech hubs. 2) Hostels: Hostel facilities are basic and affordable. Food quality and cleanliness are average. 3) Peer Group: The peer group consists mostly of students from Uttarakhand and nearby states, providing a friendly and supportive atmosphere. However, diversity in the student community is relatively low.

A Well-Rounded B.Tech Journey with Good Infrastructure, Supportive Faculty, and Growing Career Opportunities

Likes

Faculty members are generally qualified and approachable, and students can seek help with academics and projects.
students should supplement the university curriculum with industry certifications, coding practice, internships, GitHub projects and real-world development work.
There are cultural events, technical activities, clubs, sports and other extracurricular activities. Hostel students can participate fairly actively in campus events.

Dislikes

The main improvement I'd look for would be more advanced, industry-standard laboratory equipment and greater practical exposure.
I couldn't find a reliable current official university figure for the overall girls-to-boys ratio.
The ratio can also differ substantially between CSE, other engineering branches and the university as a whole.

Placement Experience:

Haridwar University provides regular campus-placement opportunities across IT, core engineering and other sectors. The university reports strong overall placement activity, but programme-wise salary and placement data are limited publicly, so students should ask for CSE-specific statistics before admission.

Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya - Review

Likes

I like the college curriculum and study materials and teaching style of the teachers . Some teachers are impressive and their teaching style is too good .
Campus life is not much engaging but we usually spent our time in studying only . Also for attendance there is not much more criteria but some teachers are very strict in taking the attendance.
Faculties are full of experience and knowledge. They are approachable online and offline too but after the class.

Dislikes

I don't like the placement system in my college because the students studying in 2nd year do not get any exposure of placement . There is placement cell in our college but not very active .
Infrastructure is good but it should be spread in a more big acres . My wish was to get into IIT Kharagpur that's why I am asking for big campus .
Overall curriculum and research based approach of the campus is good. They just give projects to the seniors and seniors work is to dictate us about the project and helps us in building different types of project.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main aspects that motivates me to choose this college is the GFTI'S colleges . Because my father suggest me that govt. Colleges seeks more companies that's why I choose this college . But truth is totally opposite from the reality. Real world application based projects is just given by the teachers in every semester but we students copy it and give it to them from the gpt. College timing should be more less we have to study from 10 am to 5 p.m. Timings of exams are of 3 hrs only in semester . Difficulty level is moderate.

Graduation- Best time of life.

Likes

The campus of the university is beyond beautiful and homely. Participation in college and university societies paves way for an all rounder development of the students. Facilities like CCF internet facility) is quite commendable.
Good Placements offered also encourage better future prospects. The library of the university is next level. Kisan mela held two times a year feels like another celebration for the university people.
Events held in the university with amazing artists offer exposure as well as a unique way to keep the entertainment alive amongst the youth.e

Dislikes

The hostel rules were rigid especially the entry timings of the girls hostel. The rigidity to take leave by getting it signed by various officials first had been an issue. Although, this was when i was graduating, things might have changed by now.
The stringent hostel rules were quite difficult to cope with. The strict checking at the university gates though might seem good as per the security but seem harsh sometimes.
Teaching methods could be made more progressive and technical with time paving way for more practical knowledge. Infrastructure could also be given a push.

Placement Experience:

In final year of btech companies start coming. Maximum students of CSE and IT get placed. Package is min. 3.2Lacs CTC. Both mass recruiters and startups take part in the placement drive. A good number of students get placed. But maximum students of our college opt for higher studies like appearing for GATE, GRE, CAT exams. Further students indulge in preparation for govt services like UPSC, Defence.
