Hostel Facilities

5

I stay in the hostel. But there is a flat nearby to rent it out. that is where most of the seniors stay because of the curfew in the hostell. There are ac and non ac hostels available. One room is usually shared by two people.. First year rooms will be randomly allocated to your with your classmate but later you have the option of changing or taking roooms together with your friends. In one dorm there will be 3 rooms, so six people will be sharing one bathroom and toilet. Inside this room you will have bed pillow all the necessary linen towel. One big almirah and a table, a chair, and storage shelves which are the blocks. One flannel board also. Meal quality is good except that it is vegetarian. There are options to choose from. Many south Indian dishes like dosa, idly, and vada are also available in the cafeterias. Swiggy and Zomato are also available if you crave for something else. For the mess, there is a weekly menu. There is thali for lunch and dinner. and snacks and coffee and tea are also available. In the hostel a public kettle and iron is provided. And many indoor games, boards and Tv is also available. Table. Tennis and Carroms are my go to night games.

Admission

I had applied to various colleges across the globe and I got admission in amity first after submitting a sop video and there was a telephonic interview round where most of the questions very pretty easy. And amity university has a good global value and what stoop out most was the 100 percentage scholarship that they offered. Basically i could finish my degree without paying the course fees. I only had to pay the hostel fees and the mess fees which is 4500 for a month.

Faculty

5

The faculties in my department are very well educated and they try to teach in the best way possible. Well Some just read through the presentations but still. Every faculty is very friendly and you can to them anytime of the day and ask them to help you they will be really willing to do that. During one semester which is of 6 months there will be one set of midsems and one set of end semester exams when the semester ends. The exams are not that difficult. There will be around an average of 5 or 6 modules per subject. The faculties will also focus on the important topics for exam which will make it easy for students to prepare well for the exam and get a good cgpa.

Night Life

2

There are free gym inside the campus and many other gyms outside the campus which people prefer more. There are many cafeterias and cafes in the campus. There are three stationary shops where you get literally anything you want. A good, two storied library is also offered. The new library is very aesthetic, people go there all the time to get good photos. There is no night life if youre staying in the hostel because the curfew is at nine fifteen at night. If you want to go out at night you need to take an outpass and leave. There will autos right outside the campus for transportation and the area which is a village is really safe for even girls to roam around at night. There are two big hostel one for boys and another for girls. The campus is pretty big and very peaceful to have a walk iin the evening and many courts to play in the evening. There are many hangout spots in the campus. But you need to go back to the hostel at night. There is a night canteen available inside the hostel.

Placement Experience:

Placement at GH Raisoni College Of Engineering and Management are moderate, especially for CSE/AI Student . Students become eligible from the 7th sem. companies like TCS, Infosys, and WIPro visit the campus. The higher package goes upto around 8-10 LPA, and the average Package is 3-4 LPA. Around 60-75% of students get placed. After graduation, i plan to work in software/AI roles and improve my skills through internship and Certifications.

Placement Experience:

The faculty-to-student ratio is about 1:20, and most teachers are quite approachable if you meet them during their free slots. I really appreciate the senior professors in the core departments because they have deep subject knowledge and explain concepts practically. However, some newer faculty members tend to stick strictly to the textbook or slides, which makes the lectures a bit dry. Since the college follows the SPPU pattern. I chose this course after a long CAP round process. Initially, I was aiming for VIT or DY Patil in Pune, and even checked out colleges in Mumbai and MVP KBTCOE in Nashik, but I ultimately landed here at AISSMS. The curriculum is quite comprehensive for building a strong engineering foundation, though I feel it could include more industry-relevant tools and coding workshops.

Placement Experience:

The placments are overall moderately good especially if you are from electrical branches including Electrical , Electronics, Computer, and Instrumentation Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. From third year onwards internship season starts where companies visits our campus and students need to go through online tests and series of interviews for each companies to get offer where the students selected for offer need to attend the internship after the end of third year in may and june when college have holidays. Similarly Based on performance the interns may get full time offer as well. Full Time Placement starts in final year and the process is exactly same where the interviews are mostly online and the students placed gets the offer letter. Almost 90 - 95% of the students especially of above branches gets placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

So the Computer Engineering is all about core subjects which are really helpful for future like cloud, iot and Database etc But the syllabus of the university change after every 4 years and there is nothing but removing one subject and add another similar subject but I think in era of Ai and automation the syllabus is sort of outdated like if you are getting in Second year you have to learn subject which you have not interested in so you have to learn those subjects anyway and if you want to learn more about new skills you have to do it by yourself.
