Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum here is updated as per the industry requirements and what all is in the market right now. The C2P2 activities that they conduct help us in practical understanding of the technical world. The curriculum does not need to be better, but the faculties should. The frequency and timings of exams and lectures are managed very well.

Internships Opportunities

3

There are real world jobs and internships available at the campus also we have research internships for students within the university. Projects are carried out for students academic growth. Internships with minimum 8k stipend are provided here, and kibs of min 3.5lpa are provided.

Placement Experience

3

From the end of the 3rd year you become eligible for placements here. Many companies like IBM, Barclays, hsbc, nvidia come here for placements. Highest packages till now can be considered around 17.5 lpa at JP Morgan and Chase. Average package can be 4 to 5 lpa. Around 40-50 percent students might be placed or less... I don't have any stats. I'm looking for job opportunities after the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

I've a total fees of 260000 per year, which makes 1040000 for 4 years degree, where other charges are excluded, without any reservation. Now, there is reservation for some categories such as ews and all. Charges such as exam fees, backlog fees, canteen charges are way too high as compared to other colleges. The academic fees has now increased to 330000 per year, which is way too high as compared to the facilities and faculties available.

Campus Life

2

The campus life is not good at all, it all lacks in clubs, social well-being, events, collaboration and activities, etc. Now they've started conducting sports and other events but there are many constraints and restrictions on that. Biasness can be seen during the events and all.

Admission

As this college comes with group of Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune, made me choose this. The offer of providing placements support with the vit and viit colleges convinced me to come here. You need to score good in jee mains or mht cet or boards to get admissions.

Faculty

4

The exams conducted here are good, but the evaluation process is a bit different from other colleges and universities which makes students lack in competing with others. The faculty to student ratio is good, have never calculated but roughly it might be 1:40. There are many teachers whom I liked during my academics namely, Dr. Bharati Ainapure, Prof. Sandip Thite, Prof. Noshir Tarapore, Dr. Suhas Chavan and many more. There are many faculties that I didn't like because they were untrained and unprofessional, can't name them but I'd like to tell the subjects that they taugh- Computer Graphics and Gaming, Physics, Engineering Graphics, etc. The course curriculum is good and updated as per the market and industries. Many students fail to clear the exams in the first 2-3 semesters but later it's easier for them.

Night Life

1

There is nightlife or hostel facility in the college. There are enough canteens and variety of food options available but as I mentioned the prices are high. There is not gym facility at the campus, the library is too small for the entire university. Hangount spaces for students are canteens and cafeterias, and hotspot. The locality is safe to roam around the day but cannot be sure about it at night, but its okay but not good enough.

Other Applied Colleges

Atharva College of Engineering | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Computer Engineering)

I didn't want to live in Mumbai, Pune was my preference.

Placement Experience:

The faculty-to-student ratio is about 1:20, and most teachers are quite approachable if you meet them during their free slots. I really appreciate the senior professors in the core departments because they have deep subject knowledge and explain concepts practically. However, some newer faculty members tend to stick strictly to the textbook or slides, which makes the lectures a bit dry. Since the college follows the SPPU pattern. I chose this course after a long CAP round process. Initially, I was aiming for VIT or DY Patil in Pune, and even checked out colleges in Mumbai and MVP KBTCOE in Nashik, but I ultimately landed here at AISSMS. The curriculum is quite comprehensive for building a strong engineering foundation, though I feel it could include more industry-relevant tools and coding workshops.

Placement Experience:

The placments are overall moderately good especially if you are from electrical branches including Electrical , Electronics, Computer, and Instrumentation Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. From third year onwards internship season starts where companies visits our campus and students need to go through online tests and series of interviews for each companies to get offer where the students selected for offer need to attend the internship after the end of third year in may and june when college have holidays. Similarly Based on performance the interns may get full time offer as well. Full Time Placement starts in final year and the process is exactly same where the interviews are mostly online and the students placed gets the offer letter. Almost 90 - 95% of the students especially of above branches gets placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

So the Computer Engineering is all about core subjects which are really helpful for future like cloud, iot and Database etc But the syllabus of the university change after every 4 years and there is nothing but removing one subject and add another similar subject but I think in era of Ai and automation the syllabus is sort of outdated like if you are getting in Second year you have to learn subject which you have not interested in so you have to learn those subjects anyway and if you want to learn more about new skills you have to do it by yourself.
