Remarks

A very great place to discover one's true abilities.Noone will pressure a student to study or get good marks here. You need to be responsible for your own academics.75 Percent attendance is required to write exams.Personally,a negative point about the college is that there is no online fee payment option.Students need to stand in long queues for several hours often without food,to pay money in cash. This could be improved.Everything else is just fine :)

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The College is affiliated to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Kerala technological university and final exams are conducted by the university. The syllabus and course curriculum is designed by the university.Internal exams occur twice in the college and are evaluated by the college faculty itself and final semester exam questions are set by the university and papers are sent to valuation camps. The curriculum is mostly theory based, but there are labs and workshops and subjects like microproject, language lab, design project etc included in the curriculum.

Placement Experience

3.5

The average package comes around 3-3.5lpa.However top packages in 2018-19 were around 32lpa.Almost 75% of students in a class get placed and most of these students have over one offer.College offers industrial training sessions at the attached Bosch rexroth cet centre for excellence, but this doesn't really classify as internship. There is no stipend offered.Students here have to find their own internships outside college.

College Events

5

The 3 D's Drishti-the technical fest Dhwani-the cultural fest Disha-cultural fest for first years These are the very much awaited fests in college. But however these are only the major ones.Apart from these there are batch days, department fests, department nights etc There is also Sargam, the interyear college literary fest. Festivals like onam,Holi,Diwali etc are celebrated by students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees are very reasonable, under 10,000 for a year. There are scholarships and fee concession/e-grants offered for students from financially backward families. This college offers high quality education at low costs.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are several scholarships offered by CETAA(the cet alumni association)who are mostly in high positions in India and abroad. There is a SBI bank right opposite to the college from where educational loan can be availed. However for a student from a middle class family, loan won't be required since the fees are very reasonable. Also if the low income certificate is submitted, fee concession is given.

Campus Life

4

There are a huge array of labs in each department.I remember students from other colleges coming to our college to avail lab facilities. There is an indoor stadium with sports facilities as well as a ground.Games like table tennis, badminton, carroms, chess, cricket, softball, football, volleyball etc are played. All sports are open to all students and can be used any time, which is great.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students were greatly supportive of us and used to conduct workshops and classes for us to improve our technical skills. They also used to conduct mock placement drives and resume improvement sessions for us which helped us a lot during our final placements. They also helped us and mentored us for our projects.Alumni network is CETAA and is very supportive of students. They provide funding for projects and scholarships.

Admission

Wrote the Kerala engineering entrance exam, got a valid score and was shortlisted for admission to this great institute. There are several courses offered here, computer science, mechanical engineering etc have greater demand and hence one needs to have very high ranks in the entrance to get seats for these streams.

Faculty

4

The faculty are highly qualified and are very knowledgeable. They are mostly approachable and help to clarify doubts about the subject. The office staff however especially in the administration office are laid back and don't respect students' time.

From the 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. So many companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Gst Global, etc. are visited for placements. These companies provide placement for all the branches of the college. 90 percent of the students get placements. I prefer to go for higher studies after getting the degree.
