Likes

Our college campus is surrounded by trees and grass. we got cricket grounds, sitters to spend times.we have separate hostels for boys and girls. boys hostel is in the campus but girls hostel is far from the campur(5kms). Bus available for free.
Encouraging and supportive faculty members. Our college's entrepreneurship cell encourage the student to participate in the events, symposiums and others
excellent lab facilities, bus facilities and eco friendly environment. we have got many facilities like clean bathroom, well maintained play ground. we have our own cricket,football teams,etc,.

Dislikes

Food they are providing in the college canteen and hostel are not nice. In canteen during lunch time, too mush rush. its hard to control the crowd. the food prices are high.

Course Curriculum Overview

till second year it is kinda tough since we have to deal with too many record and observation works. after that everything will be fine. Curriculum schedule is kinda like hard and no free periods.They should treat the students like the tier A university do. they must let them to work on the thesis, real world projects,etcc

Internships Opportunities

we got internship offers for all the fields. Research internships from NIT-T and IITs are available and encouraged. we have done projects in wireless communication, OFDM modulation, RF technologies, Machine learning and deep learning fields

Placement Experience

the training and placement will commence on the 6 th semester. stundents will take the training at the end of the 5 th semester. trainig and placement class will be available for the students. it is 3 class per week for soft skills and aptitude. in the 6 th semester, the companies with more than 9 LPAs will be there. in the 7 th semester, companies with more then 7 LPAs and in the 8 th semester companies with 2 LPA. each year the percentage of students placed is around 85 percent and the highest package is 15 LPA. the top recruiters are TCS, CTS, mahindra, Zoho, Accenture, Econ systems, Infosys, Wipro, reliance, etc

Fees and Financial Aid

i got admission in management quota. For management quota the fee structure is 100000(1lakh) per year(2 semesters). Apart from the management quota, you can get admission through TNEA counselling. Fee structure for counselling is aroung 50k to 60k per year(2 semesters). Our college is providing many scholarships(govt. scholarships) for SC,ST and others. the scholarship amount will be credited to the bank account and the scholarship amount is based on the father's yearly income.

Campus Life

we got sports club to encourage sports activities. awesome environment. supportive p.e teacher. our college has football teams, cricket teams, kabadi teams, Kho kho teams, athelitics, sports day, culturals, etc.,

Admission

i've applied to Ramakrishna,SRM trichy,CARE,kings and stjoseph engineering colleges along with saranathan college of engineering. comparing with other colleges, SCE has an outstanding teaching and it holds the rank of top 10 engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu.so i choose this college. everything is based on your cut-off ((physics,chemistry and maths) marks/2) in the 12th grade and JEE marks. based on these marks, you can choose the departments. if you have cut off mark above 185 you can get into CSE above 170 for ECE and etc

Faculty

the student to faculty ratio is 15:01. Our colege has an excellent faculty of more than 100 professors to cater the student need in the ratio 15:01 making certain that Saranathan delivers quality education in engineering domain. SCE offers the different amenities for the benifit for the studens. Dr.V. Mohan sir, Professor,Dr.Dinesh sir(Maths),Mr.Hari Prasath sir,Mr.Kesavan sir etc., they are very humble and friendl, encouraging us to improve our technical skills and helps us in our project works. till 5th semester students will have to attend 6 exams per semester(totally 30 papers). some of them are tough. its all based on the performance of the student. Our college is one of the strictest colleges in Trichy. proper dress code should be followed. Mobile phones should be in switch off condition.if not, severe action will be taken

Night Life

our college time is 9.15 am to 4.45 pm. the gym in the boys hostel can be accessible anytime. library and cafeterias will be available till 6 p.m for the day scholars and hostellers. hostels mess is available for hostellers. there is no night time since the gates will be closed soon. it is like a jail

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.
