yes, according to me, college has brought improvement students are the first to achieve 75 percent attendance criteria or apart from this, they have applied various SIGs to improve any skill like java , python, c,c++, data structure and many more
the college campus is very nice, the campus area is around 50 acres , it is green and different culture events are organised according to the season
The college faculty are also good or teaching is done in a unique or innovative way, practical and theoretical both knowledge is given a lot of activities are also done , the faculty or study material also provide well

college curriculum is also good becouse it focuses on problem solving, critical thinking,innovative idea or variaus type hackathon oragnised ,if you have a good idea then it helps in college funding or creating in startup also helps. i have also helped in creating new projects on campus

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees in college are calculated accroding to class 12th or JEE Main percentage . what is your percentage ? fees are calculated accroding to branch bias my fees are 76000 becouse my percentage is 80+ or branch is compute science in IOT or category bias . if i am an OBC caste , i will get scholership from the goverment which will be around Rs 110000 in my 4 year of the fess are average . there are not much fees and non-resident student can study or there is no pressure of fees

Campus Life

My experience so far is quite good because i have learned a lot of new things about technology, about management , have i understood real life problems orhave i understood the processs of solving them or we have we helf hackathons in college it has been found out why there is no work in the real industry

Admission

i have looked at different parameters of the college , whether i choose a colleg or take a direct addmision here , the first parameter is that the college does not have a high fees or the placement of the college is also good or the college looking for sig or it focused on different technical skills , it known that the arrangement of computer sytem is there , digital education is being done or it is also done

Faculty

The faculty of the college is very good because the method of teaching is unique or it gives both theretical and practical knowledge ot it clears the student doubts or it provides good study material , accroding to me all the faculty are hindering till now all the teachers have tought me little or the behaviour is also good as a student with the faculty

Night Life

there is a canteen facility in the college which has food for the faculty , hostel student and workers ,or a libaray facility are also or all the books are availible technical and non technical also it also has a gym and sports room and very good play ground and there is also a boys or girls hostel

Faculty members are very supportive , opportunity for research, internships
Regular placement help in every year nurturing according to the year planning for students
College provides multiple courses subscriptions for free

Dislikes

Small campus no own sports ground for football and cricket we have to share it with other campus
Canteen can be improved the sitting area and new options in menu
Still very few systems of labs are not working like 1/10

Placement Experience:

Our College works very hard for placement like they initiate new programmes every year for the betterment of the batch so that they can improve their placement every year. They have launched launched D 99 batch P 30 batch arrange so many seminars College to corporate training placement, training company visits and everything the placement is our college works very hard for the students to get them placed anyhow with a very good package.

The campus is lush green AQI is very low.
Good academic content. Most teachers are helpful.
If you are motivated profs are motivated to work with you.

Dislikes

The campus is isolated form the main city.
Hostel timing are early and strict. Hostel closes around 8:30
Some time classes slot booking are not suitable.

Placement Experience:

Placement vary according to the market in the industry. Though oppertunities are provided extending student courses, so students do get a change to apply multiple job postings. Companies like Flipkart, Blackstone came.

Average college with no placements and exposure

I like infrastructure of the campus... infrastructure are very beautiful.
Library. I like library facilities college provide and we can take book from there.
Canteen not..much but I likes this average

Dislikes

Placement their is no placement or limit placement only 2-3LPA
Bus Facility their Very poor bus facilities
Labs their labs computer are not working properly

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the curriculum around 5 or 6 out of 10. i chose this course mainly because of the computer and coding subjects. the syllabus is mostly theory based and many topics are not very useful for current industry needs. practical classes and real projects are also limited. more coding, projects and updated technologies should be added. exams are frequent during the semester and the difficulty is mostly average but sometimes checking feels strict.

Oldest College of all over india and first E&TC branch opened in JEC

Dislikes

Zero college life beacuse everyone not get govt. Hostel
Campus distributed because of two way highway
No internship and entrepreneurship opportunity are there

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is totally outdated syllabus that was not relevant for current or future technologies. No fully functional labs, outdated machines and some machines are not working. There is no regular lab class and if have then you will write the practical file intesd of learning about machines.

Likes

I liked the overall campus environment of the university . The campus is quite large ,clean and has good infrastructure.
The labs in college in are well equipped especially for computer science student . some system have configuration like 16 gb ram .
the faculty member are supportive and helpful. teachers are always ready to guide student , clear doubts and personal situation whenever needed

Dislikes

the quality of mess food is average and sometimes not up to expections. There are limited option and some food combination not liked by students
There are single water cooler in available , which sometimes create problem for both boys and girls.
we are sometimes fined for low attendance ,bunking class or even sitting in the canteen during lecture hours

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is decent but not exceptionsal. it covers the basic and important subject required for the course so you dont get a good theoritical understanding. However some parts of the syllabus feel outdated and fully aligned with current industry requirments. the course had a good mix of course subjects and some practical components on paper which looked promising at the time of admission. The overall structure seemed relevent for building foundational knowledge.

Best IIIT in terms of campus life as it has over 150 acres of lush green campus with almost every amenities.
College has been improving its recent cultural status and activities by organizing events like Infotsav- Annual Tech fest. The girls to boys ratio is around 1:5 which is decent.
all faculties are phD holders and highly qualified in their respective domain.

Dislikes

Course curriculum is little bit on a harder side especially grading schemes. Some profs may deliberately give low grades.
not that great alumini network despite being the oldest iiit
semester lasts for only 4 months which may prevent many club events and exploration

Placement Experience:

For 4 yr courses, on campus placement drive begins in 7th sem and occur in 2phases in 7th and 8th sem. For 5 yr courses, the same in 9th and 10th sem. In 2025, All tech giants like, google(16 selected), oracle(5 selected), microsoft(3 selected), de-shaw(3 selected), groww(10 selected), american express(10 selected), Nutanix (6 selected), amazon (8 selected). Highest domestic was by de-shaw 67 lpa to 3 students. average package of cse was 27lpa , it+mtech 29lpa and it+mba 28 lpa. 214 students were placed out of 224 registered with a perecentage of 95 %.

The campus is quite good and friendly for students
You don't have to go on regular basis and teachers are also good
The faculties are so friendly and solves your doubt whenever you want

Campus is too short and time schedule may change everytime
The exams are held too late and delayed in results
The results are delayed and errors were not solved annd takes too time

In the first year you'll study the following subjects - C,C++ programming -OS -Computer architecture -Mathematics - PD and foundation In the second year - java programming - Dbms - Computer networking - E commerce/ Digital marketing and foundation In the third year - python programming - My sql - Cloud computing - CG and foundation Overall it is a damn good course to persue if you want to build your career in tech

I really like cleanliness in washroom and also in the college. I really like trees in college.
Faculty was really good and my subject teacher was teaching in a right way.
In this college the boys and girls in the ratio of 3:1.

Dislikes

Uniform is not allow in this college. I have no many clothes to wear day by day.
I don't like college timing. In winter season timing was not good.
Our campus is very small. And college fest is very less in this college.

Placement Experience:

In 7 semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies visited in this college like Wipro, Cisco, infosys, etc. Highest package in this college is 20 lakhs. Average package is 5 lakhs My plans after getting the degree is getting good job.

The location of college is in mid centre of city making students reachable to all the facilities they need from outside the campus
The faculty members are of great knowledge and make there students extraordinary in medical field
College campus is well furnished with lecture theater's of 250 students sitting capacity, well equip Laboratories and demonstration rooms , seminar room and hospital

Dislikes

Lack of space for Establishing a new hostel to accommodate all the students of all batches
Auditorium is not available in campus , thus having difficultly in organising events
Improper management of lifts and water supply in college

Well MBBS is a well known course in this society and my goal to become a doctor influenced me to take this specific course and obviously after completing my degree i will be serving my nation healthcare facilities... Exam frequency is good 3 times a year and final university

IIST-honest review

i had visited almost all colleges in indore, but for one reason or another , i didn't take admission there. 1. for example , at Acropolis , a very high JEE percentile was required. otherwise ,you have to pay a higher fee. 2. i couldn't afford the fees at medicaps. 3.in the rest of the private colleges, the syllabus , placements are almost same. 4.finallly , the main thing is that the college environment should be good , and In IIST the environment is good also they focus on extra skill development through SIGs. you can take direct admission here via 12th marks and also can apply in councelling via jee percentile you will get the branch according to your grades....Read More
