Remarks

The college atmosphere is really great for academic excellence and also for sports. The college campus may not be active all the whole but academically the college excels. The canteen and certain spots in college are nice and the eateries and places all around the area helps a lot too.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The Course curriculum is very much in accordance with the requirements of the modern world. The unnecessary parts of the VTU curriculum are stripped by the college and only necessary and certain extra portions which are required are added along with Humanity subjects.

Internships Opportunities

The internships are provided for the final year students in the college. The internship opportunities are very high and college helps a lot in finding them. As I'm in second year yet, I haven't had an internship but it's pretty much sure that as and when I need ,the college will help find an amazing opportunity.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements are available across all branches in the college as it's one of the nest colleges in the state. The job opportunities are very high and one can choose to enter the core branch or software as there are plenty of opportunities available and the placement training is also really good.

College Events

5

Tech fest- Phase Shift is the technical fest of the college and is intended to increase the technical indulgence of the students of the college. There are workshops conducted and many fun activities too. Utsav- the college fest. Dubbed as the best college fest in the previous years, though it's falling down in standards, the three days of fun is still great to have. And likewise there are many special days which are conducted by various departments of the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible. I got into the college through the government seat and my fee is 19,200 per year which is very reasonable. The comed k fees is also very feasible for the amenities that are provided in the college and it's 1,76,000.

Fees and Financial Aid

Many Minority Scholarships are there in the college. But there aren't any loans as such the college administers. The college has a bank which is inside the campus itself. Maybe the bank can avail some loans, but there aren't any special loans for college students as I'm aware.

Campus Life

5

Labs are of top notch. The lab attenders are really informative and so are the faculty. The problems in the lab instruments are resolved very quickly. There are many clubs in the college, literary, arts, photography, dance. All kinds of sports are there and the college representatives are selected and sent to participate in different tournaments all around Bengaluru and also VTU tournaments.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostels though small have a very good ambience. The food and the mess are really good and the menu is dynamic and keeps changing. The college canteen is also good enough and many eateries around the college also ensures a very good vibe. The WiFi is also good in the college.

Alumni/Alumna

All the seniors are very friendly and helpful. Alumni network is not significant in the college. But the college is 100% ragging free, so that itself implies the friendliness of the seniors. Seniors guide us through the process of getting adjusted in the college environment.

Exam Structure

There are two internals whose marks are reduced from 40 each to 20 each and added up as 40 in the total. The other 10 CIE marks is through quizzes or projects. The finals SEE is for 100 marks which is reduced to 50. Grades are awarded accordingly. The final Aggregate is CGPA.

Admission

I got into the College on merit basis. My CET rank was 2000 and during the first round of allotment in Karnataka CET, I got into the college. After confirming my seat and paying the required amount of fee for KEA, I visited the college. I paid the rest of the fee through online banking, submitted all my certificates for scrutiny at the college office, created my college profile and a college mail ID. Photos were taken for the college ID preparation. After submitting the admission form, the process is complete.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is very experienced, old but still dynamic. They're jovial in the approach and also strict while it comes to correction, assignment and attendance. The faculty strength is also really good and the student-teacher relationship in the college is also really good and they're approachable.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

Placement Experience:

KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches . It also provides pre-placement training, coding boot cams, aptitude tests and soft skills development . Alumni network is moderate, but students need off-campus efforts for high paying jobs
