Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is pretty advanced. As an engineering student it is important to stay upto date with the current advancements in the field and i would say LPU significantly helps me with it. It just delivers. Ive had conversations about this to students from other colleges and came to understand the difference.

Internships Opportunities

2

LPU offers interships from companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, and startups in the tech sector often offer internships related to software development, machine learning, data analysis, cybersecurity, and more. Software Development Intern, Data Analysis Intern, Marketing Intern, etc are some of the job roles and students will be doing tasks as per demands . Stipent might range from $1,000 to $5,000 per month

Placement Experience

2

One of the main attraction of LPU is the placements. You will be elligible for them from 3rd year (5th sem). You get to sit for interviews from a lot of MNCs (based on your course and cgpa). But try to be realistic with your dreams.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees is rupees 240000/-. It is paid sem wise (120000/- per sem). There is no caution fees as of now. Lab fees, development fees and and all the other fees are included in the tution fees. There is a 1000 rupees registration fees along with a 10000 rupees admission fees (admission fees is reduced from the tuttion fees).

Campus Life

2

I dont think LPU has a good campus life. thats the one thing that they lack. Students are mostly alone. There is shuffling between students every sem. LPU offers a wide variety of events and clubs but you have to be in the right mindset to participate in them.

Hostel Facilities

1

Hostel is fine but heavly overpriced. The accomodation is comfortable. The bedding is decent. The hostel faculty is nice as well. The hostel is filled with dogs. Even inside. But the food sucks. You will face a lot of problems because of them such as diseases, weight loss and more.

Admission

Well i wanted to go really far from my home. Thats the simple answer. And LPU seemed like a good choice. If you were to compare LPU with other colleges, it had better infrastructure, better curriculum, better placements. It is bigger than all the other colleges ive applied. I didnt get rejected from any colleges, i just didnt want to go there. They all seemed fine but my mind was already made up. The admission process involves giving an entrace exam called LPUnest and if you pass with good marks youll get scholarship like wise. The follow up will be a phone call and if you wish to proceed you can.

Faculty

1

I personally am not a huge fan of the faculties. As a freshmen i struggled a lot because of them. One person gives you an instruction and the next one gives you a lot of crap for following that instruction. I think they are not in sync with each other. This is the part of LPU that i find hard to cope with.

Night Life

1

The nightnife is ok,nothing major or worth mentioning. There is gym but its really crowded everytime. I dont think if there is any nightlife activities. The securities will tell you to go to you hostel always.

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
