KGMU - A dream of millions

I have always wanted to become a doctor since my childhood so I was inclined towards this course. This curriculum prepares the Students to emerge as a well prepared indian medical graduate. The exams are held on a regular intervals with a pre defined schedules and syllabus. Duration for theory exams are of 3 hours and practicals of usually 2 hours. The level of paper are of moderate levels and focuses mainly on important topics.

One year of mandatory internship is to be done in MBBS curriculum. The internship is paid. During this phase we are posted in different departments to gain experience under the guidance of our esteemed faculties and doctor.

Since I am from UR category my feelings structure are as follows - First year -54600/- Second year -30900/- Third year -30900/- Fourth year -30900/- These are the fees structure for UR category student and the students who take admission from All india Quota. The structure varies for other categories like obc,sc and st. The fees structure for obc,st and sc category are - First year- 45600/- Second year - 23600/- Third year -23600/- Fourth year -23600/- State scholarship available if the criteria for scholarship are fulfilled.

Our college have the best campus among all the state medical College of Uttar Pradesh. Freedom is provided by authority to make choices about what you want to pursue as your co curricular activities. Socialization and infrastructure is very well kept in focus. Every year all the major festivals such as saraswati pooja, holi, diwali, janmashtami etc are celebrated with enthusiasm. Sports and extracurricular activities are promoted well among the students.

Hostel fees are included in our college fees.However a security fees is to be submitted which is 1000 rupees per year. No additional fees for hostel is taken. First year hostel is double seater. Second year hostel is single seater. Third and fourth year hostel is double seater. Mess, library,gym,sports area and open areas are provided within the hostel. Meals are of adequate quality and has fixed menu for different days of the week. The overall ranking and academic success of this college was of highest level. Being the best college in the state it's quite difficult to score the required marks, but I was fortunate enough to get this college through my neet ranking of 2586. Also state councelling provide benefits to students having up domicile .

Our university holds one of the best faculties of India. All the faculties are renowned persons of their respective fields and provide best quality of education. The faculties are very approachable and helpful and there is also mentor mentee programme being run in our college for one to one interaction with the faculties. The exams are held at regular intervals to check the progress and understanding of the students. The exams are both of theory and practical or viva type conducted by respective departments. There are 2 terminal 1 pre proffs and a proff exams every year. Attendance of 75% in theory classes are mandatory.

Our college have all the facilities for essential needs like gym, library, cafeterias, lawns, sports arena, and other public areas. Timings for girls hostel is 5a.m. to 10 p.m. For boys it's 5 am to 12 pm.
