Course Curriculum Overview

5

The courses syllabus is pretty relevant. The seminars and expert talks are organised on regular basis to meet with relative working engineers. The syllabus include each aspect of the problems occur being an engineer. Each subject have lab work too. The coding problems are solved in the lab under the supervision of the experienced faculty. The problems are very relevant to the real time working of the system.

Internships Opportunities

5

Our college provides too many internship opportunities for the capable students. The interships are also stipended. In each semester we have to make a project in group. So this also improves our team work skills and making project.

Fees and Financial Aid

I took admission in BTech Artificial intelligence and data science in 2022. Fees was 95,000 per year at that time. Registration fee in 1,000 that is included in tuition fee of 95k. Other that tuition fees we have to pay examination fee of 2100 for odd sem and 1500 for even sem. College provides scholarship on the basis of test organised by college known as "josh" exam marks. And that scholarship continue if you achieve 9 or above cgpa for each semester. The fee is increasing by each passing year. Now the fees of my course has been increased to around 1,30,000 per year. Hostel facility is also provided and hostel charges are according to the room to avail (Ac or non AC, quad or triple sharing, etc). That's all.

Campus Life

5

Tech fests are organised twice by the college typically in April and September each year. Each block has it's own library. There are wide range of books available at the place. Every course book is easily available. I didn't even bought book till now. I issued from library each semester. So the books are equally accessible to every student. Each classroom have cameras installed and are supervised regularly. The IQAC team roam around the campus to ensure ni student miss classes irresponsibly. Sports and extra curricular activities are regularly held by the college. Our college has it's own football team, basketball team, vollyball team , cricket team, etc. Different clubs are there such as literary club , dance club , etc. Students can enroll in any of the groups and ve the part of it to work for the college magzine.

Hostel Facilities

4

I availed quad sharing room. It has 4 beds 4 almirahs and 4 chairs and equal shelves for each student. There were sharing bathrooms and toilet on each floor. My hotel had 6 floors and the worst part is that there was no lift. We had to go up and down through stairs only. But now new hostels has built consisting of lifts and all. Hostel is pretty affordable. And the process is just as simple that pay the hostel fee (55000 per sem) and you will get the room.

Admission

I applied to CGC Landran , CU and CGC Jhanjeri because they were close to my hometown. I chose CGC Jhanjeri because of it's strong reputation for academic excellence, research opportunities and diversity. The campus culture and location also appealed me. The addmission process for my college is that first you have to apply online or offline and have to give registration fee of 1000. After that the college would call you for your confirmation and ask you to submit your original documents for verification process. The faculty or mentor assist you through the whole process of admission. You can also visit the college to check out the environment and culture of the college. The overall addmission process is very easy as you are assisted throughout the whole process. It's very hassle free as you can apply and do payments through online plateform without any difficulty. No, I didn't get rejection for other colleges. I didn't make it there because in CU the course I was interested in was not that much easily affordable and in CGC Landran there was too much crowd of students that bothered me. So I chose this college.

Faculty

5

The faculty-to- student ratio is pretty good. The faculty is easily approachable. The faculty builts a friendly relationship with students so that it's not difficult to ask for help and doubts during lecture ot even after the lectures. All the faculty members I dealt with till now we're very nice. They were very helpful and cooperative. Exams are help semester wise. Each semester consist of 2 MSTs (mid sem tests) and 1 special MST for improving marks or fir those who were not able to appear in MST 1 and 2 due to any reason. Students rarely fail in MSTs as the syllabus in divided into half. During finals also there are less chances of failures because of the good marking schemes. MSTs are of 30 marks each. Finals are for 60 marks. And 40 marks for internals that includes attendance, MSTs , assignments.

Night Life

5

There are too my hangout spots in the college. Nescafe and kullad chai are my favorite spots in winters. And in summers rose garden in my favorite spots to hangout as it is very peaceful and calm place. Hostel is a very good place to be. Everyone should experience hostel life once in life. My hostel life was too good. It provides gym facilities too. Mess food was great. Gor girls hostel timing was till 7 in the evening. After that we were not allowed to go out. So overall there are too many enjoyable hangout spots in the college.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
