Likes

The atmosphere of the college and the area.
The student staff interaction and friendly nature.
The functions of the college,interdepartmental fest.

Dislikes

Travelling from the far distance and walking a lot from the main gate.
Only one restroom for the girls and that too is far away from the department
Only getting twenty minutes break for lunch

Course Curriculum Overview

The vast syllabus along with the connection with the nature and in addition to that it will help in cracking the government exams. A more progressive approach is needed to crack the aptitude test. The exams and frequency of exams are of moderate level.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 22000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fess per year was approximately 22k and I paid 44k in total...all the fees was included in this I didn't paid any extra amount. The course fee was ame for everyone who took admission in M.Sc zoology in MCC

Campus Life

Go wild is quite famous fest . The books are available in the department as well as college Library. The library also have computer to access different books .The college have sports team also. There are also social groups like for cleaning the College,to keep college garbage free.

Admission

I applied only to Madras Christian College and I got the confirmation letter in the first place itself.I choose this college because of the staff and students nature alongwith the college atmosphere. The admission process is simple we have to fill the form ,the exam accepted is our ug course marks only,cutoff depends

Faculty

The faculty to students ration is enough . I liked all my faculties on my department,We have two internals exam one one assignment so total is like ca1,2 and 3. They choose the best two for internals .

Night Life

The favourite spot for me was the the college canteen and the lounge for the girls .the college lounge for girls was well equipped with comfortable beds and sofa in which we can rest or ho and aur during free hours of the college.There are many hangouts places inside the college as i didn't lived in the hostel so I don't know much about the night life but outside the college the locality is quite safe at night .

Helpful Internships with Practical Exposure

Likes

Experienced and supportive faculty who guide well in both theory and practicals. They are approachable for doubts and research guidance.
Well equipped chemistry labs, library and clean campus. Good infrastructure for science students with modern instruments and facilities.
Safe women-only campus with good campus life. Regular seminars, workshops and events help in overall personality and career development.

Dislikes

Being a girls college, exposure to mixed-gender events and industry networking is less compared to co-ed colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It covers all core Chemistry subjects with good lab work. I chose this course for strong academics and research scope. The syllabus helps for higher studies and competitive exams like NET, SET. Practicals help in real applications. Exams are held each semester. Difficulty is moderate and most students clear easily,More workshops and industry training can be added for improvement.

Likes

The main thing I like about the college is discipline.
All my teachers were good and guided and motivated all in a right way.

Dislikes

The main improvement needed is the placement and recruitment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very well structured. Some modern methods can be implemented like smart class. We'll have exams every month.Internal exams will be for 2 hrs and semester exams for 3 hours. The difficulty level of exams will be on an average scale.

Best of my life

Likes

Every Thursday we had moral instruction classes .this session very useful for me and personally improved my strength
Very different teaching methods,they explained the topic short and easy point that are very easy to understand quickly.
I loved my library lot of books is there, maintanence...very good.

Lot of job opportunities including medical and chemical field..I would like to say to improve instumental area .I didn't face any difficult level because..our faculty members already guided me how to face all struggle situation and how to write exam..

Likes

The college has a huge and well maintained infrastructure.
All the faculties are very friendly and supportive
The college is also providing good placement with high packages.

Dislikes

I feel the fees of various self financed course are too high.
The college hostel fee is also very high compared to other college hostels.
The events and other cultural programs in the college is very minimal.

Placement Experience:

The college provides a very good placement for the students. they are providing placements for final year students of various courses. The highest package offered was 20 lakh per year and the average package was 5 lakh per year.

College timing 08.30 Am -01.30 Pm it is an big advantage for the students to develop their extra skills courses and also part time jobs It is vey useful for many students but it's also drawback for some peoples.

A view on recent days MCC

First there is no test admission it purely based on your cut off mark and first come first serve. The factors that made me choose Madras Christian College were it's tradition and culture, in mcc we have rich culture and traditions which took places throughout the year, I get to know about this from my brother. A life in MCC

I have a applied up to 8 college and I got selected from all the 8 colleges First one Guru Nanak Second one Vivekananda College Third MCC Fourth Loyola Thomas College Sixth dgv 7th Hindustan College And SRM ramapuram I have choose the MCC College because it has good amount of surroundings and and good amount of environment which are useful for the people who are studying there and they have different types of cultures and people all over from India you studying in the college. Nmcc there are 70% of the people are from Kerala on 30% from Chennai. So colleges good campus interview on teaching skills on speaking skills and kind hearted person.
