Likes
- The college campus even though small is very beautiful and very well maintained. The library is quite big and spacious. There are several canteens to accomodate all the students and the classes are well lit.
- Faculty especially was very good. Even though some of them were inexperienced they worked extra hard to provide the standard that the college promises. The Learning Management system is a lifesaver during exams and the teachers update it regularly
- The curriculum was well planned and rigorous. The students who go there are from all over india, making it very inclusive.
Dislikes
- The campus is pretty small which makes it seem a little crowded at times.
- The management pay no heed to the problems of the students which makes them unapprochable. Strict rules regarding clothing and behaviour in the college is sometimes taken to an extreme.
- The college is located pretty far from the city.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was good. But the units given were sometimes a little out of date. Especially in psychology the experiments and assessments were from several decades ago which made them unreliable.
Fees and Financial Aid
In 2021 the fee for BA for the academic year was 60000. the amount steadily increased by 5k the subsequent years. Exam fee was taken separately. The fee for other batches were on the same level if not higher .
Campus Life
There are several events planned both depeartment wise and college wise. For humanities there are various inter and intra collegiate fests and also clubs for better enrichment. The libraries are well stocked with reference materials and also fiction and non fiction. The sports day if youre not in the teams are not given as much emphasis but the college does encourage participation. There are 3 student portals 1. lms for reference material and notes 2. tcs ion for fee payment and attendance tracking 3. student portal for event and course registration
Admission
The admission process is quite simple. There is an interview where you will be asked personal questions about you and ypur interests. The college keeps its admission open for a longer period than other which is aplus point. I had only applied here and got in.
Faculty
There is a good faculty to student ratio. The faculty is very approachable while the faculty in higher positions not so much.there are 2 main exams. A mid sem in the middle of the semester and then an end sem. Every paper also has an assignment which contributes to internal marks. There is also marks for attendance. The exams are moderate level difficulty
Night Life
there are a lot of restaurants and cafes around the college. There are also several shopping hubs 15-20 mins from the college. Since the college is a little secluded a majority of the population living there are students. It is not very safe to move about in the middle of the night although the crowd is lively during the day.
