B.Pharmacy at BIT, Mesra

I chose the B.Pharm program because of its comprehensive curriculum,which offers a perfect blend of theoretical knowledge and practical applications. The pharmaceutical field plays a crucial role in healthcare, drug discovery and patient safety and I was drawn to the opportunity to be part of this evolving industry. The curriculum is prepared by PCI and same in all the PCI approved college, which need to be updated. The course curriculum needs to be updated for real world applications. Teaching Methods in BIT Mesra is quite impressive. Examination system of BIT is great and difficulty level is easy to moderate.

Internship opportunity are less for our program, however everyone gets a chance for industrial internship once during the course period. In our field, internship is more or less like a industrial tour. No one will allow the student to run machine or any kind of instruments.

Placements of BIT,Mesra is great. But for non-engineering branches there is less opportunity. For our course the placement from college is almost negligible. However faculties helps us to get placed or even in this field getting job is easy but after b.pharm one can get approx 3 to 3.5 lpa most of the time. Many of the students opt for M.Pharm by qualifying GPAT. Many of us prepare for competitive exams like CAT,XAT etc. After B.Pharm master's degree is must for good career growth.

For the 1st year the fees is 248000 9excluding hostel,mess,etc.), after which it increases gradually every year to 3.5 lpa in last year. Fee Structure increases every year. Total cost of B.pharm from BIT, Mesra costs around 20 lac. For 1st sem tuition fee: 125500 development fee: 8500 Institute exam fee: 6000 Admission fee: 15000 Caution Money: 10000 The fees is indepedent of category. BIT offers scholarship every semester for various categories and one can avail merit based scholarship also. scholarships could be 100% or 50%. for 1st sem student bit offer scholarships based on JEE scorecard.

BITOTSAV is a socio-cultural festival. It features performances by celebrities with alots of activites, held in the month of march of every year. Pantheon is a tech-fest of the institute held in month of October. Library is well maintained and well equipped with all the nescessary amenities. The classroom has all the nescessary facilties with smart board. Every year in month of feburary sports meet is organised. The sports complex has different courts for different sports. There are many social groups,clubs in which any new comers can join.

Till our batch i.e. k21, single room is provided to boys, but now they need to accomodate in sharing room. Girls shares twin room. Mess food quality is good as compared to other colleges. For hostel institute charges at the time of admission or at the time of payment before every semester, for mess we need to pay separately.

I'm from delhi so i applied to DIPSAR but unforunately not able to got selected for B.Pharm course. The selection is based on 12th marks where I only manage to get 84%. After that I applied to BIT,Mesra and got selected in 2nd round screening. Admission process of BIT,Mesra is simple for B.Pharm, one should appeared for any enterance exam NEET/JEE. The selection process is NEET/JEE scorecard based. After the submission of application institute releases list of students selected for the same in various rounds. Don't worry about the cutoff for B.Pharm, one can easily get this college.

a faculty is assigned as mentor to every student, one can interact with the mentor individually total number of faculty in dept. is 20, The faculty is fabulous and brings great exprience and provide real world insights of pharmaceutical companies. The course structure is same like other PCI approved pharma colleges. There will be 1 mid sem exam, 1 internal assessment and 1 end sem exam.

Gym facilities are good. Different gyms of boys and girls. There are many places to have food within the campus. Library closes at 8:00 PM. There is entry time for girls i.e. 8:30 to 9:00 PM for Hostel For boys there is no such entry time for hostel. Entry in campus is prohibited after 10:00 PM,however guards will allow you to let in. The greenery and peace of the campus will enhance the experience. The campus area is safe to roam at night.
