Fees and Financial Aid

As per the year-wise fees, it keeps on increasing by 5-10%. For the first year it was 2,40,000 including the registration and tuition fees. The further break down of the total fees is 95k for registration and rest 135k as tuition fees. Fees of all my classmates is same. However, there are some provisions where you can avail scholarship on the basis of your income, there is one more on the basis of your jee rank(under 8000 if it is), and one if your working parent has been deceased in between the course.

Campus Life

4

There are basically 2 fests : Moksha - the annual fest and Resonanz - the cultural fest. Moksha is held in March end and Resonanz is held in mid October. Mostly all sorts of course related books are available in the library and is easy to use. Facilities in the classroom includes smart board, projector and fully equipped ac systems. Sports and extracurricular activities are very much welcomed and highly encouraged. All the necessary equipments and courts for various sports are there.

Admission

Well i applied for nsut dtu and igdtuw and was getting all of them in cse branch. i chose nsut due to ease of travel and better location as dtu. As they are all government institutions, you get into them by giving a common entrance exam called jee and sit for their counselling like jac and josaa. So i filled jac and got into nsut cse. Overall admission experience was hassle free and easy. Cutoffs are really high for nsut tech branches like the closing jee main rank for general in my time was 9k for cse

Faculty

3

Faculty to student ratio 50:1. Faculties are approachable and they welcome your doubts. I liked our maths faculty in the first sem Dr Sarika, she was a wonderful lady and a very supportive faculty. Every one in our class used to love her cause she made things seem very easy. I liked my English faculty for 2nd sem, Ankita Prasad, She is a sweet and understanding lady, she helps us with our social skills and how to make ourselves more presentable. I didn't like my fundamentals of electrical engineering faculty, Dr Subrata he wasn't able to connect with us. There are total of 4 exams per year ie 2 exams per sem- a mid sem and an end sem. They are moderate like you can score well if you paid enough attention in the class. About 20 students in my class had backs in various subjects. In first year the subjects are not that much relevant to the curriculum. Its basically studying 11th and 12th again.

Night Life

5

My favourite hangout spots include the lawn known as nescii ground which is huge and has soft green grasses, as well as a beautiful pond. There is a gym for which the timings are 10am to 6pm and same timing goes for the library. During exam times they extend the timings but usually it is it. Outside colleges you'll get the very famous VEGAS MALL - the life of dwarka.

Other Applied Colleges

Delhi Technological University - [DTU] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Engineering)

It was far from my home as well as the area around dtu is not much safe for girls.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
