Course Curriculum Overview

4

The fact that this course provides you a very dignitorial position in society attracts me the most into it. The financial benefits are also quite impressive. The curriculum extending for 5.5 years provides you all the required knowledge to practice as a general doctor in the country. There is a total of 19 subjects for 4.5 years in total. 1 year rotatory internship in various clinical department in affiliated hospital gives you very good clinical exposure also. The internship here is stipended by ?26000-/- per month. Every year mcc is renewing the syllabus according to to demands of indian medical system. Frequency of exams are quite adjustable upto rth year. 4th year is quite hectic and tiring with syllabus.

Internships Opportunities

4

Only internship opportunity provided by the college is compulsory rotatory internship after passing 4th year final exams. The interns will be paid ?26000-/-per month for working in the affiliated hospitals clinical departments. After this the student will be certified as a doctor who can practice in this country. The avg salary could be around 7lpa. College does not have any tie up with private companies. The internship provide very good exposure and experience in clinical and surgical processes.

Admission

The admission to this college just like all other govt medical colleges is through NEET UG examination conducted by NTA. A student with an all india rank of around 22000 will be alloted a seat in here(obc/gen) A student belonging to the state of telengana with an all india rank of 115000 could be availed a seat through state quota counselling by state government. I have applied for other medical colleges in kerala university of health sciences and dr mgr university of health sciences tamil nadu. My applications has been rejected because of the high cutoffs in those states. Admission process to this college takes around 15 days and is easy to apply online. The cutoffs trends shows an increasing pattern over last 10 years so the cutoffs could go higher in upcoming years too. The college is ranked around 6th position out of all govt medical colleges in telangana state. No interviews or group discussions should be faced for admission to this college. The college could be kept in a 3/5 rating in south india.

Faculty

4

The faculty team for each subjects consist of Professor and HOD, associate professors, assistant professors, PG trainees, tutors, attendors. For 25 students one faculty could be assigned. HOD of anatomy department is my favourite. The way of his teaching is different and effective. The faculty i didnt felt good was associates of almost all department as they are assigning work to pg trainees and not putting much efforts. There is a total of 4 exams 3 are internals conducted by college and 1 final conducted by KNRUHS, warangal. The difficulty could be given as; Passing percentage of marks : 50% in each subject No of students failing per year: 8-10 out of 150 The curriculum is very relevant acvording to indian medical standards and requirement and clinical exposurebis also very good in here.

Interview Experience

1

No group discussion or interview was done for admission process Only document verification and sealing was done during the time. Admussion criteria ias as the same mentioned in mcc website. No extra pricesses are included in the admission process The college office fee of ?500-/- has to be paid during admission time.

Night Life

3

Nightlife is quite refreshing and safe. There are many aesthetica and refreshing spots nearby like tank bund, musi dam, jatara festival, ondrugonda temple etc.. And hyderabad and Vijayawada city is just 2 hours away from college with regular public connectivity services. Nearby gym is available within 1.5 km where most students have enrolled. Cafeterias and many restuarants supplying good food is available within 2.5 km circle. Campus timing is from 9-4 and library will be opened till 11 pm Hostel is 24 hours running and open. For first year students hostel will be closed at 10.30 pm Nightlife is quite safe untill 11.00 pm.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is made according to our ability to grasp when we come out of our board exams. The first year might be considered a little touch but it in general is quite different and I personally enjoy studying it . Exams are a bit stressful but if a person has already studied then the tension gets distributed and it feels like nothing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chooses this course to become a doctor and a dignified responsible citizen of the nation, mankind. Generally in any state medical college the ratio of faculty: student is 1:20 or more but in AIIMS it is 1:3, which is a better and more precise way of handling an institution. The qualification of most of the faculty is the completion of their MD/MS degree and a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience. The teaching method is generally online. Generally, there are mid and end-semester exams, pre-finals, and finals examinations. Medical exams are not much easy to clear as you think as they need much dedication and commitment to it.
