Course Curriculum Overview

3

I always wanted to make my carrer in electrical field which is why i chose this carrer. The electrical engineering curriculum is generally well structured ,covering fundamental subjects like circuit theory, power system ,control system and machines , making it highly relevant.

Internships Opportunities

3

I have not done internship till now but i can say that college works really hard to provide internship oppourtunities to students. College sends their students to full time internship in 8th semester. In 8th semester there are no acadmics . So students can focus on academics.

Placement Experience

3

Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering in nagpur has a robust placement record, particularly for its undergraduate programs. In the 2023-24 academic year the college secured 766 job offers across various engineering desciplines.

Fees and Financial Aid

The first year fees is 1,73,801 for general category. The other category students may get scholarships depending on their caste. For OBC and EWS it is 1,04,236 and for SC/ST candidates it is only 13801. The VJ/NT/SBC students have to pay 34670.

Campus Life

3

My overall experience with campus life has been vibrant .Socially the campus fosters a dynamic with various cultural fests, techincal events and student led initiatives that incourage interaction and networking.

Admission

i chose this college over others primarily because of its strong electrical engineering department ,well -equipped labs and industry collaborations, which provide good exposure to students. Also this college was better than rest of the colleges present in nagpur.

Faculty

3

The faculty members are overall good but are in less number compared to the no of students.Talking about the course structure each semester has 10 subjects (6 theory and 4 practicals)sometimes more or less. each subject has 6 units. The examination is divided into 3 sections,2 mid semesters and 1 final end semester examination. The mid-sem is of 15 marks each and ESE is of 50 marks and internal TA is of 20 which makes the total of 100 marks . If student fails to score more than 40 then it is considered as fail.

Night Life

3

The nightlife around ycce is relatively low key compared to metro cities, but there are still decent options for students to unwind . The campus itself focuses more on academics and organized events. There are so many things to do at night. There are gyms, cafes, temples, gardens and various street food stalls.

These companies visited up to now There is nothing like highest package in this college because selecting in psu it means a stabke carrer and even if you wish to have a better salary after doing sime courses like nebosh and m tech in safety you can get jobs in foreign countries There is 100% placement in college To continue the job. Course Curriculum Overview:

The part of the curriculum that inspired me to take up this course is definitely applied mathematics as engineering has a lot of math integrated in it and helps the student to improve his/her logic and problem solving skills which are very important in today's job market. Some areas where I'd like the syllabus to improve are NEP related subjects like PPS, Indian Knowledge System etc. These courses are not related to the major but are included because of the New Education Policy(NEP). I feel that most of these courses are a complete waste of time and can be replaced by better courses.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester. Companies like ABC Corp, XYZ Ltd visited, offering various roles. Highest package was 10 LPA, avg was 5 LPA. Around 80% students get placed. If no campus placement, focus on internships, networking, and job search post-graduation. After the degree, I plan to pursue a career in the field, aiming for roles in design or manufacturing.
