Remarks

Very few negatives which can be neglected but overall a very good engineering college with nice campus and canteen obviously . Surely recommended for various branches of engineering especially computer science.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Engineering you have semesters which you need to clear every year. There are in total 8 semesters. 2 semesters per year based on the various Subjects you have chosen and you need to pass them with good score

Placement Experience

There are appreciable placements. Many companies pick many students for internship and job with an average salary of 6 lakhs per annum. I haven’t been a part of an internship so I may rather not comment on that

College Events

Various fests and competition are held. There are even cultural fests generally held every year. There even a science fair mainly a tech show for various gadgets and things the students have made. Its a great experience

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive . Its nearly 1 lakh per year so 4 years for the entire course. Many students cant afford it so there are scholarships based on economic and merit based provideded by the college. But engineering is an expensive course so it is feasible

Campus Life

4.5

Yes there are labs and a huge playground. Very well maintained . But some labs still use old equipment which aren’t working as they are broke which need to be replaced and the ground is huge providing various sports

Alumni/Alumna

Many alumni have become great engineers from this college. They are very friendly and have conducted various seminars and sessions on what to do in future and how is the life after college. They have shared their examples and how to tackle them

Admission

On the basis of merit due to my score in MHT CET (engineering). I had got the required marks for computer science engineering and hence got qualified for the college . So basically its an easy admission process.

Faculty

4.5

Excellent campus with a playground and hostel for students coming from various parts. Well connected by station for trains. Friendly and polite college teachers and professors. Good social crowd and environment

Likes

The campus,,, Somaiya has best college campus with lot of activities area in it
The Sittings accross the campus is really student friendly
Canteens were supper affordable for students for food accessibility

Dislikes

The cordination given by management of college, They were so rude all the time idk y

Course Curriculum Overview:

Literature gave me insights to the history and a different pov on the situations happened Literature sharpens the thought process we can have in real world scenarios which are quite unique tbh. Its just too much of theory, if could update it and make it somehow relavent to today situation, it would be fun learning it

The teachers are well qualified and really cares about students. The college environment is friendly and teachers push the students for taking part in different fest and culture..
The whole team is super supportive and provide emotional support too and basically always students first policy. The general staff is also polite and helpful
The department and head teaches well and helps student everytime and there are many fest and culture and clubs too

Dislikes

Just the space is not good like congested, other than nothing

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is up to dated also including amazing practicals and computer labs too. Real world application is amazing and the course with having practical experiment gives the experience, Next we also have excursion cum study trip around nearby gardens which is a fun way to learn and enjoy at the same time. Exams are in a way that helps to evaluate the students expereince and knowledge.

COLLEGE REVIEW OF IBSAR BELAPUR

Likes

The good thing about this college is affordability and how quick the admission process is.
Teachers are friendly too, there is no mandatory attendance rule and the lecs are conducted three days a week for mca students which gives them the freedom to work or switch between lecs and personal things
The feedbacks of students are taken seriously and the staff is changed accordingly. Students can freely talk to faculty about the performance of teachers and quality of education.

Dislikes

There is no campus in this college which limits student activities for events or other things.since the lecs are not conducted daily or as like other colleges , very less class count is there which affects the interactivity as well.
The quality of infrastructure is not quite good as the college is there in two floors of the building only. Campus amenities are average as well. There aren't much opportunities as such in this college like industrial level or any.
If anyone wants to experience and actually college life with the whole campus experience, events , activities or other things ,this college isn't a good fit

Placement Experience:

During the admission the students are told that in semester four , just students are eligible for campus placements and some of the companies come for a placements and even the undergraduate students are placed . The name of the companies that come for the placement include Vector ,HDFC Bank etc but in admission pamplets huge company names are provided like infosys, wipro, etc. the average packages are 300000 -500000 per year. The cgpa of students should be higher than 7. I am planning for an on campus as well as off campus placements.

An honest review of my college experience

I applied for S.I.E.S college of science, arts and commerce, Mumbai and kj Somaiya college of science, arts, and commerce. But i got confirmation in sk somaiya college. So I choose this college over others i Waited for this college because I heard many fascinating thing about this college. Other college like kj somaiya i didn't get admission because of percentage eligibility there was more cutoff comparatively. The eligibility of my college is minimum 80% above percentage and exams such as ssc board then CBSE board are required, if talking about experience I had a very mid experience because I didn't took all the required documents and i had to run to xerox place but one thing is good that the xerox place was available in the college itself . Admission process depends on you and your experience....Read More

The years I will remember.

I applied to KJ and Rizvi as well and got confirmation from Rizvi, but after comparing it with SK Somaiya in aspects such as sports and curriculam, SK Somaiya was the best fit for me. I did get rejected in KJ Somaiya because of my marks in 10th, KJ is known to have the highest cut-offs. The admission process is centralised and is done on the basis of merit and seat available. The eligibility depends on each years cut offs and requirements....Read More
