Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because i wanted to be a teacher in the subject economics... And the subject clarity that i've got after entering into this university is commendable. I'm preparing for net exam and the syllabus of net is already covered under the semester syllabus with extra topics also. There are three types of exams during a semester that are snap tests, mid semester tests and final exams. Snap tests and mid sem tests are done to check the formative evaluation of the student and final exams is done for the summative assessment.
Placement Experience
Numerous companies keep collaborating with the university and many students are placed every year. The minimum value of package is 3.5Lpa and it goes up to 12Lpa depending upon the course and the ability of the students My plan after this degree is to clear the net/jrf because i want to be a professor in my respective subject.
Fees and Financial Aid
For taking admission in masters i paid the fees of ?11000 for an year and as our system is semester wise so the examination fees every semester range from 2800-3200. There are scholarships for students which can be availed with some documentation formalities with which the tuition fees of the whole year gets reverted and only examination fees is toh be paid. Students who were from SC/St category from punjab had fees lower tha 2000 for the whole year including examination fees and tuition fees.
Campus Life
Although there are many facilties for the students but if any step is taken by the authorities which is unfavorable to the students then the parties which are made by the students starts protesting for the betterment of other students
Admission
If anybody wants to take admision in b.com then it's done totally on the merit basis If anybody wants to take admission in masters then there is a entrance test taken with which the merit of graduation is also considered and then the students are selected to the course.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1:30 which i guess is quite good... The professors give proper attention to the students and every student is addressed with their problem. The difficulty of exams ranges from easy to moderate. If a student goes through the subject thoroughly then they will be able to attempt the question paper. Although very less number of students fail to clear the exams but if it happens then that is only because the student did not give any attention towards it otherwise it's very easy to clear the exams
Interview Experience
There were no group discussions and pi as it was totally based on the merit. The students only had to go for the counseling with the required documents to their respective departments for the admission process
Night Life
University has its own gym and there are canteens around every department which is very affordable. The parking in the university is huge. There are no hostel timings, neither for the girls nor for the boys The university is quite safe at night as the security is always there around the campus be it night or day.
