What Students Say

Likes

Nature and lush green campus , a good friend circle
At a good location, have a good gender ratio.
Popular college among delhi circuit and best option delhi based ppls

Dislikes

Faculties, as they don't teach properly (except few ones)
Adminstration faculties are very rude .
Library isn't open after 8pm Even during exams days

Course Curriculum Overview

On a point of 10 i will give 8/10 because of things like in iits they are still teaching C# but NSUT has changed to python which makes it to stand out from the rest of the crowd . also they have updated the curriculum as per NEP

Class Size: 130Course Fees: INR 1050000 per year

Internships Opportunities

After seeing seniors profile on LinkedIn i came to know that intership oppournities is nice as most of them secure intership mostly oncampus in 3rd year which allows them to get Ppos very earlier make them tension free further.

Placement Experience

Being popular among delhi circuit, it have a competitive task to grab placement here. And as discussed with senior i came to know that placements have been improved comparatively to earlier years due to recession

Fees and Financial Aid

My fees for the 4year program is 10500000 and been from the general category I was unable to get any scholarship as such. But there is some type of scholarship like E district and Nsp for sc, st ,obc students

Campus Life

Overall the campus is great with the area of 150+ acres with a good peer group , focused on their works . The clubs add a star to it as they made it more enjoying but the recruitment proceed is very complex consisting of multiple steps like GD, PI ,etc

Admission

The reason behind choosing this college was its average package i.e 18LPA similar to what nits have so choosing NSUT was same as going to some nits in terms of fees structure and study. Additional it was close to my home so I chose it over nits

Faculty

the faculty to student ratio is 90:1 for some class or 120:1 for some classes like in my case it is 122:1.The faculties are not good as such except the few ones, they use to come read the ppt and go , but it also said in college u have to studied ur self only

Night Life

The nightlife in college isn't good as such because it doesn't allow hostellers after 10pm and day scholars around 8pm but it's location is damm awesome as locations like vegas mall are very nearest to it.

My experience studying at NSIT

Likes

Placement was among the best and most the top companies visited
Infrastructure was appreciable with no major shortage of laboratories
Senior-Junior interaction compensated the average faculty

Dislikes

Outdated curriculum negatively impacted the conceptual clarity
Too difficult to secure good grades due to strict marking
Mediocre support provided to student led initiative

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was evidently outdated and irrelevant to modern engineering challenges and could have severely disadvantaged students' learning outcomes. Although, interaction with seniors compensated this.

How Good B.Tech. from JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA is?

Likes

Here in Jamia the faculty is very experienced in their fields , they make you feel Engineering and not to just read books. there teaching methods are amog the top in the nation
the curriculum not just focus on your engineering but also focuses on your personality development.
the infrastructure itself gives you the feel of oldness and the reputation of the college.

Dislikes

one bad thing is its less availability of Hostel rooms .
there is a very strict rule of 75% attendance .

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

The Dream College Life

Likes

The campus is completely different from the whole city, it is more cleaner and is quiet peaceful with various different beautiful views at different points and is not too big so could easily walk through the campus.
Has really great architecture of the buildings and is surrounded by really intelligent people including some over the top profs and some really great minds from the country.
The night life is completely different and is one of the best part of staying in campus.

Dislikes

some of the hostels are quiet old and need renovation.

Placement Experience:

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.

NSUT- A rollercoaster but definitely must have experience.

The main reason for joining this college was proximity from my home. Another option was DTU but it had a 2 hour journey from my home whearas NSUT had 1 hour journey. Both colleges are almost same and placements are also almost same. If someone is choosing between these colleges then distance should be a major factor. If someone is from outside Delhi then for coding culture you should join NSUT while for fun and fests, you should join DTU....Read More

I didn't get a rejection from other colleges, but I myself choose not to there, as NSUT is a reputed college and government college for btech. It is one of the top college in delhi. 3. The admission process is through JAC delhi counseling in which NSUT DTU IGDTUW comes, and you can select your preference and you will be given tbe course with the college according to your rank scored in JEE MAINS....Read More
