College Review & Evaluation from Soubhom Dutta

With incresing healthcare facility in our country the course BMLT provides me more job opportinuties. Skilled and efficient medical laboratory technologists are need of hour in the health sector to ensure accurate diagnosis and timely treatment of diseasese .Our college provides a solid foundation for us but I would like the inclusion of more advance diagnostic technologies and updated modules in our curriculum. Two semester exam take place in a year and four CA exam in between each semester .The question are of moderate difficulty making them manageable for students.

As I am currently in my second semester I am not eligible for internships or company placement.However I will become eligible from 3rd semester onwards, so I am unabale to provide a review at this time.

NSHM provides an opportunity to get enrolled in reputed hospital during the 4th year of study. The highest package provided was 4.2 LPA and the average pakage is 2.2 LPA . 100% students from last year got placement at good Multifacilities hospital and diagnostic centres,while some opted for higher studies.

I will be paying RS 98400 per year as my course fees. My batchmates at BRIT pay 94200 per year. SVMCM and Aikyashree are the two scholarship available for students in West Bengal. SVMCM provides students with rs 18000,while Aikyashree offers rs 60000.

At NSHM college the annual function takes place at mid feb named as BLITZ many ervents takes place during this time.Many technical festival takes place every year. Recently at the month of April WORLD HEALTH DAY was celebrated by our department. Most of the books are available in the library still some improvement are required. The classrooms are well equiped with every necessities like projector, white board, speakers and so on. Many sports events and extracurricular activities takes place through out the year. There are many student run social groups in NSHM Knowledge Campus like Expressionz, Tackle IT, CLC Reels etc

NSHM Knowledge Campus was my first choice . I did apply to Dr. BC ROY College of pharmacy and Allied Health Science . I had an opportinuty to join Dr BC ROY College but I joined NSHM Knowledge Campus because of the opportunity I was getting and the reviews I got from my seniors. The admission process of NSHM college is very convinient for students. In this course only class 12TH marksheet was required .Students from Science, Commerce, Arts stream can apply for this course

The faculty and students have good relation .The faculty members are really approchable to each and every student.Every faculty of our college are highly professional and always helps the student in every way possible. With increasing healthcare infrastructure and diagnostic center there is a high demand for lab technologist.

The night life around the college is very vibrant and student friendly. Most of the shops are opened till 11 at night. Our college provides its own Gym, Cafeteria and Library facilities. The campus opens at 9 am and closes at 6 pm for regular students,while hostel closes 8pm. Some famous hangout spots in the college are Lawn area, bank of the lake and the cafeteria.Outside the college its very safe for students,some places to visit are Arra Shibtala, WB40 resturent and so on.
