Course Curriculum Overview

Highly relevant program with the current industry trend. Currently Leading MTech Cyber Security course. teachnig methods are fine. more industry exposure would be benfecial. Difficulty level is medium. University exams are scheduled on time now. Good Plan.

we have tieup with KDISC & INternshala and other AICTE supported INitiatives fro interships. usalaly interships are preferred nearby areas. very feww go outside for internship. this year onwards iNternship is mandatory for awarding degree. so there is a positive aspects there.stipend varies from 0- 5000

Placement Experience

Placement opportunities are good. As I understand each students get minimum 20 company interview chances. students are placeed in TCS, Johson & Johson, eependorf, cipla, infosys etc. i think some where around 50000 per month was the highest. lowest is 15 k i believe.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition Fee for me is 50000 per year. we ahve scholarshp schemes based on degree marks. first year additional 12500 including caution deposit and university fees. ACADEMIC MERIT SCHOLRSHIP - My classmates who vail scholrship pay 40000 fee per year.

Campus Life

Tech fest are held in grand manner once in 2 years. there will be other fests every year like college day, freshers day, arts fest sports day, IEDC innovation day startup events etc. Books are available in library. For sports we have basketbal court, volleyball court, cricket nets pitch, football & hand ball gorund separately. student community serive is very active through NSS

Admission

Afforadable Fee. This course is available only in few colleges. The admission office was very receptive and cleared all my doubts to my fullest satisfaction. i didnt get such reponse from other colleges. admission process was simple and direct application online/offline. overall admission process process was less time consuming

Faculty

Faculty Members are generally very jovial and very supportive. but as PG students faculties insist on preparing notes by ourselves. Course structure is as per the University Curriculum. We also will be provided with paid internships for Lab works in the college.

Night Life

NIght life is nill in the campus. campus shall be completely off by 6:00PM. Hostel timings 6 am to 6 pM . campus is 30 acres area. hangout area is canteen cafeteria sports courts seating area. students will leave the campus completely by 6PM

M.Tech in IIST: My review

Placement Experience:

I wanted to continue my research work and that is why I did not take part in the final placement process. The highest salary package offered was Rs.11 LPA and the average salary of Rs.6 LPA. Acsia technologies, Aadyah aerospace, Antrix corporation, COMSOL-India, HCL, Infosys, Intel, and zentron were some of the top organizations recruited in our final placement program.

IIT Palakkad performs admirably under the direction of IIT Madras, and the college's placement record is as impressive. The college achieves a placement rate of 100 percent. The placement committee at the college is so dedicated that they are able to not only attract good firms but also assist us during the placement stages. Our batch's maximum package was 35 LPA, while the average package was roughly 15 LPA. In a very short period of time the college us able to match the standards of IIT. Few of my batchmates received pre-placement offers during the college internship program. The college was able to provide the highest package of around 30 LPA and the average package was 11 LPA. Arista Network, Google, TCS Research, Mckinsey, Honeywell, Texas instruments and Larson and Toubro were the top recruiters. Almost more than 65+ companies participated in the college placement drive.

College management is efficient. But the office staff is irresponsible. We have to give our certificates before admission, but they will store the certificates as a irrelevant piece of paper. We got our certificates back as folded and dirty.

I wanted to take Bsc as my degree but my parents insisted on taking Btech. As I searched for a collage I stumbled upon METs school of engineering. I went there for the first time. I talked to the faculty member who's in charge of admission that time. I got intrested. Then I visited for the second time. I decided to join the college and paid 17,500( admission fee and caution fee). Then after a month and half I enrolled to this collage.
