Likes

The infrastructure is amazing, one of India’s largest campuses with advanced facilities.
The diversity is heartwarming, students from all indian states and international students too.
The placement opportunities are pretty good .

Dislikes

Tight attendance policy is so tiring as there are 5 marks for attendance 90+and decrease simultaneously.
Tuition fees is high without scholarship it is very difficult to continue.
Too much population is there which also have some disadvantages.

Course Curriculum Overview

I wanted to do engineering in computer science that why I had chosen that. Course curriculum is updated and job focused. It covers both theory and practical skills.Various subjects are there like for coding, communication and project experience too which is helpful for jobs but some topics can feel too general and packed.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for our batch i.e 2023-2027 is 240000 yearly. I had a scholarship of 25 percent so I pay 180000 yearly. The examination charges are 4000 per semester in addition no other extra charge. The fees of my batchmate varies due to difference in scholarship percentage. Almost all get 20-30 percent scholarship. College is giving other scholarship otherxthan entrance exam is about class 10 or 12 marks according to the percentage they scored and the defence background student has 5 percent scholarship. But only one scholarship is guaranteed whether from merit or entrance exam or defence one.

Campus Life

Campus Life at LPU is vibrant and fun. Many clubs and events like One India and YouthVibe happen every year. The library is huge and well equipped. Classrooms are modern with smart boards. Sports and cultural activities are active and enjoyable

Admission

I tried in thapar institute and graphic era in dehradun but I choose lpu because it is near my home and I didn't want to move far at this stage.The college is good with modern facilities and placements so I didn't explore others much. The admission process was simple and I got in easily through LPUNEST.

Faculty

The faculties are nice here, so supportive and kind in nature. As in different semester our faculty changes according to the subjects. But they are good. Faculty ratio is pretty good the whole management has done a good job as it is not easy to manage the big crowd. Exams are alot we had continuous assessments for each subject like 2-3 each and mid sem and end sem examination too. It is not that easy to fail but if the student is not concentrating definitely no chance to score good.the course curriculum is good keeping all the factors united.

Interview Experience

Nothing was there for admission except the entrance exam that was LPUNEST.The exam was the only thing that we needed to pass and get admitted in the university.There were 2 chances for exam and the best of 2 was to be considered.

Night Life

Nightlife at LPU is safe and active.Students chill at cafes,food stalls or unipolis mall. Hostel close by specific timing I am not aware as I am day scholar but common areas like library and gym are open till late.The campus and surroundings are secure and lively even at night

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

LPU's REVIEW WITH HONESTY AND CREDIBILITY

Likes

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Inside NITJ- Beyond the Brochure

Likes

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Likes

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Aqi was soo good because plants and tree was so much

Mess food was bad but it doesn't taste that bad
If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
