What Students Say

Likes

My friends, I like so much and the memories and memorable for the lifetime, I will never want to forget that

Dislikes

The disliking thing in my college was the worst water there, and worst thing was there were clean toilets

Course Curriculum Overview

My course was nice, only always inspiring with the blood and DNA and genetics. They were very nice and delicate applicable to my own life applicable to my own human I had a fre and teaching methods are very nice without Miss Vidya quency timing exams, and I didn't get time for myself

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 70000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

My college is a little bit of a mess but I think I can get it done in a couple weeks and then I'll have it all figured in a few months I don't have any plans yet so I'll just keep trying and I'll see you then thanks again I appreciate you doing this weekend and I'll talk about the other girls love y

Campus Life

The college had very very nice annual festivals and function festivals, name, Aarambh, Maitri and many freshers Day competitions and always there were us function in their mainly the biggest nicest function in our college with Srishti, which was celebrated after the second semester. Every student in the college had event, clubs and student portal included the impact on student life, we had many clubs, different types of clubs which initiated more programs and more fun activities

Admission

I was a science student, and I wanted to go in a science field or Aring, but I got Ethiraj first, but I wanted to study in engineering as my all friends went there and studied. Also, my friends wrote neat a national intelligence eligibility exam test so that was a very heartbreaking thing happened for me. No rejection and all I got corrected from every college. I got selected from every college, but since Ethiraj was my first thing, I accepted the offer and proceed the admission.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio was a very typical thing. In my entire college life. Teachers are so rude and very minimum number of teachers are cool and understanding. I didn't like Vidya Mam and of the teacher. I do not want to lick the name but Vidya Mam so bad things to me, she, she always scold me, always scold everyone in the class pics for silly reasons. I like Sangeethavani Mam. We had to exams in a year and we had test between every semester. they were easy and understandable for our care.

Night Life

We have a great library with thousand and more types of books had 25,000+ things books in the library. We had cafeterias into blocks with a very delicious food, hostels and campus timing where a brilliant in the things famous places outside college University was around because they were always the security guards

girls to boys ratio is 1:1 is we consider all three branches with some courses with more male while other having for female.more or less the ratio is near 1:1
the most important thing for you is there is close to zero discrimination for you , whether you want to join any club or perform anything you are equivalent to students with others bachelor degree
octagon and library are the two things which are good as library is considered the biggest library among all nit's while octagon having 800 computers for students.NSO ground is also well maintained with the beautiful mig fighter jet to take cool phot

Dislikes

for first years hostel are well maintained if compared with others but don't expect much from hostel atlast this is a government college.in first year 3 to 4 person sharing room are there which was build to carry 2 person.
Quant and entrepreneur thing is not there as you might expect by seeing the nirf 9 ranking but it is not zero .they are growing clubs like profNITT and Sigma are young and they could do better
curfew timing for girls are 9 or 9:30 pm i guess be it any year. for boys ,only freshers have curfew with timing 9:30 pm.other than that any student can't step outside the college after 10 pm without the sign out form.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as maths is the mother of all science and quite related to other fields so it opens a lot of door for me like mba ,mtech ,phd or any other things. this course is specifically designed for becoming teachers so keep that in mind before taking this course as they are not flexible in changing curriculum or adding something for the sake of students as of now. also you will be having more working days compared to other courses with 80 percent mandatory attendance.after first sem you will get 1 week holiday and after 2nd sem you will get 50.days holiday and after first year you can expect 20 days holiday for winters and 50 days holiday for summers. you will get a lot of time to study for exams. before ct 1 you can expect 2 months and then atleast a month for ct 2 and endsems. cons are that you don't have the right to choose minor or electives like btech students.you have to compulsory study all three science .i.e. maths , physics, chemistry.

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

Likes

The faculties are very well experienced and there are captains who stay in the campus itself, so if there’s something we need they will be available all the time
The facilitieslike labs, ship in campus, DB tank facilities etc are top notch
The classrooms are fully air conditioned. There’s smart board. Overall everything is really good and also neat and clean

Dislikes

Galley food can improve a little and canteen is comparatively small for such a big campus
They are not conducting intra- college events and inter-college events is very less

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good in HIMT. I got placed in 1st year itself in MOLMI. All faculties try their best to prepare us for the placements and it shows in the placement interview also. Usually companies come for placements from 2nd year but there are some companies who want to take girl cadets 1st year itself. MOLMI, MOLTA etc came to our college for placements. After completion of the course, company will call for induction and accordingly they will call for joining the ship. For finishing the cadet ship , we have finish 12 months of sea time. After that a lot courses has to be done for appearing in 2 nd mates exam.
