Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is really relevant right now they also have something called edu revolution something in which they encourag students to learn from practical life and they even add these marks in academia like one of the them is RPL which is recognition of prior learning in which if we have learnt something from somewhere else which is exactly the same as our course then they will take a test and if we get 7.0 cgpa in that then they will remove that subject and we are free to choose something else

Internships Opportunities

4

I am a fresher so i don't have any offers with me but I have seen and talked to some seniors who are currently going for internship drives and some of them are getting around 8-9 lpa from college coming companies

Placement Experience

5

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

Fees and Financial Aid

I will be paying 140000 per semester as my fees but I got a scholarship of 67000 so now I now pay 73000 per sem my hostel fees is 110000 and my mess fees is 42000 for three times food breakfast lunch and dinner. I got 49000 off in lpunest scholarship and rest of 18000 from shikshak samman anudan financial aid

Campus Life

5

There have around 5 fest in the last 1 month some of them i remember like fiesta, raveyard , some edm and shayari festival , one is upcoming called sunburn. The library has a lot of books and undergraduates can withdraw 5 books ata time for 15 days and post graduates for 20 days .It is quite big and usually quiet enough for a good study session. The classes have a projector through which we shown ppts diagrams stc , whiteboard and in the labs we have computers too. There are a lot sports facilities like two outdoor basketball courts , football ground , cricket ground , a skate ground under construction , indoor grounds like table tennis , badminton ,futsal , net cricket etc. There are a lot clubs , comiities like nss , codingblocks, coding ninjas and many more and there is separate multi story building dedicated to these clubs

Hostel Facilities

5

Mine is a two seater non AC room it costs around 110000 as residential fees, and my mess charge is 42000 for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They provided me bed, mattress , table ,chair , cooler, curtains , almirah , lights . We can register for our hostel and mess from the phone during the online admission process we can pay the fees too and we can prepare book too hostels and they give early bird ben8

Admission

Well it was more affordable than other private colleges and I wasn't having good grades for public ones so I came here as I knew some older students who got good packages here before me and they said if you work hard you can easily get a good enough package. Admission process include having any entrance exam like lpunest or public exams like cuet , jee mains etc and the filling the application form uploading documents and their verification and then coming to the college for induction and physical reporting

Faculty

5

The faculty to students ratio is 1 :70 or 1:35 depending on the classes in lectures it's 1:70 and anywhere in tutorials and practicals it is 1:35 , the cse programming faculty is really good i like studying from them , the student query faculty is also very good they solve the problems in 24 hours of a complaint like my door has a closing issue they sent a guy to fix it just hours after i raised the issue

Night Life

5

There are lot of gyns in the campus sone university gyms and then private run gyms like in the unimall, there are a lot of cafeterias some are scattered between hostels some between cse buildings and a lot of them are in the mall. Hostel timings are 12 o clock for boys we usually can come at that time in the hostel gate from library .For girls it is bit strict they have a cutoff time of around 10-11 pm Some hangout places are chicago delight, cafes , and unimall and the grounds are usually hangout places . The locality is pretty safe

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
