Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculam is quite accurate I feel, however I m a fresher so I can only tell by what I have experienced till now only. And teachers are also quite friendly and teach properly so its quite good acc to me.

Internships Opportunities

4

At LPU, many big names like Microsoft, Amazon, Infosys, Bosch, Cognizant, and ISRO come for internships. Roles are usually in software development, AI/ML, QA, marketing, and design, and some even pay up to ?30k–?50k/month. Students don’t just sit idle—they actually build things. Like projects on solar cars, driverless vehicles, campus apps (LPU Touch, ClassAlert), and even running real setups like the UniMall and in-campus hotel. These internships give practical skills and outcomes you can show in your resume.

Placement Experience

3

At LPU, students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. Big companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Apple, TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Accenture and many others visit the campus. In 2025, more than 2,200 companies came and offered 6,000+ jobs. The highest package touched ?3 crore (international) and around ?62 LPA (domestic). For CSE, the average is around ?7–8 LPA, and the top 25% students bag an average of ?10 LPA+. MBA students had up to 95% placements, with the highest at ?29 LPA and average around ?8 LPA. Most students get placed if they are consistent. My plan after degree is to grab a good placement, keep building my skills in tech, and later explore higher studies or startups depending on where life takes me.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have paid around 84000 for 1 semester tution fees and around 140000 for hostel, mess, laundry and gym. And I have got 40%scholarship or else the original tution fees for one semester is 140000 and I got this scholarship through LPUNEST exam conducted by University itself in both remotely proctored online and as well as offline mode. I secured Category B scholarship, one can secure category A also which is 55% scholarship, some of my friends have got that.

Campus Life

5

At LPU, campus life is full of energy. The big festivals are One India and One World (cultural fests in Feb–Mar), Spectra (Nov), and tech fests like Ignite and Tech Tatva. The library is huge, with lakhs of books and access to e-journals like IEEE, Springer, JSTOR etc., and you can even access them online. Classrooms are modern with smart boards, projectors, Wi-Fi, and labs, so learning feels updated and interactive. Sports are a big deal here—facilities for almost every game, and students often win at national/international levels. There are also student clubs—tech clubs, cultural clubs, Rotaract, Entrepreneurship clubs, etc.—which really help in building confidence, skills, and friendships.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel Facility are quite good... mess food for me has been quite amazing Meal quality and items are yummmm It can be a bit costly for some but its 140000 for hostel, mess, gym, laundry included for 4 seater AC Room

Admission

I applied for VIT Vellore and also I gave JEE exam so yeah... I chose LPU because I felt this was the best option for me for my JEE score as it had the best exposure and college life one could get. I couldnt make it to IITs/NITs but still one keeps trying to achieve their dreams and LPU has been so far a good option for me. U can get admission through LPUNEST exam and get scholarship acc to it which an go upto 60%

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio is quite good and also course curriculam is latest updated and also provide several opportunities like EDU REV. Through which u can get educational benifits if u already have knowledge of that subject and wish to skip the course.

Night Life

5

At LPU, nightlife is pretty chill. Hostels have cafeterias, so snacks aren’t a problem. The gym and library close by evening, but Wi-Fi and common rooms are always there for late-night study or chilling. Inside campus, hangout spots are the mall area, CCD, Dominos, bowling alley, etc. Outside, the Law Gate area is famous for late-night street food and cafés, and it’s safe for students to roam around. Overall, students unwind by grabbing food, playing indoor games, or just hanging with friends in hostels. The vibe is safe and friendly, though not like a big city party scene.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i have opted the course B.Pharmacy! I rate the course as optimal, neither too bad nor too good, its medium! Now comes on teaching method, some teachers are really well and good and few are those who does not teaches but only writing writing, thats it, they will not explain at all! And one thing they should change is that All Courses except B.Pharmacy in Chandigarh University have the criteria to pass the student even below the 40% only or the half of the highest number scored by the topper in the class, and for Bpharmacy its minimum requirement to pass the exam is 50%, Oh My God! This needs to be changed, Now every year, in Bpharmacy, the overall 80% students are getting Compartments (Back/Fail) in the subjects, but the University is not understanding it all. So this should be changed as earlier!

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
