Course Curriculum Overview

4

This university being Asia's 4th biggest university brings a heep of industrial connections and opportunities as a boon for the students. The faculty in the class discusses the problem statements of the companies and provide topics to students to build a real life project on the problem making us a good problem solver for the industry they even help or guide the students personally to have a good career . Teaching methods are perfect according to rising demand of the companies. So the 2 CA's are held within September whereas the mid term in october and the end term is held in December

Internships Opportunities

4

Companies like amazon, google, Microsoft, cognizant, Infosys, wipro, capegemini, IBM, Bosch provide paid internship to the students with great skills with an average stipend of around ?50000+ per month.

Placement Experience

4

You can get your internship from the very first year and if the internship is paid your whole graduation will be done for free. The top companies like amazon, google, Microsoft, Capegemini, JP Morgan recruit students and many service based companies like TCS, INFOSYS, WIPRO also come. The placement percentage for lpu is 80-90%

Fees and Financial Aid

So, basically I am a first year student in Lpu, I had got a scholarship of 60% through the LPUNEST(ENTRANCE EXAM OF LPU) and after the scholarship I'm paying 68000 as my per semester fees for Btech CSE(AIML). The fees without scholarship for per semester for the same course is around 170000. Now coming to hostel I am paying 122000 for the whole year including my gym, non ac 4 seater residency and mess. Now the hostel fees varies from student according to their demands. Tgeir are apartments also which are maintained by the university itself.

Campus Life

5

Events like hacknode , sunburn, Graveyard and many more are there a student can participate in, there are many clubs which helps a student to get the exposure of real life and make them more passionate about their skills and hobbies to build a future within their niche. There are many opportunities for students dreaming their future in social media or even sports . Students do run many social media handles to generate a revenue.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel rooms are like moderate. The meal quality as per the mess food is way better then the other messes. Registration for hostel and mess can be done while paying the academic fees. There are around 9 boys hostel and 7 girls hostel and even apartments are available.

Admission

I had scored 96 percentile in Jee mains and was eligible for some not so demanding courses in NITs I had even cleared the VITEEE and was eligible for the vellore campus , but the fees when compared to lpu after the scholarship was very much expensive. The admission process of this college was to smooth you can just complete the admission from your home and just get yourself verified while reporting in the college.

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio is way better then many of the renowned private colleges, the professors are so good and approachable. Each and every faculty are liked here by each and every student because of their teaching skills and their sweet behavior towards the student. So basically 1 semester is broken down to 4 parts (2 class assessment 1 mid term and 1 end term). The exams are comparatively easy and is more practical biased

Interview Experience

5

The topics were the same as in class 11 and 12 .. The exam was of moderate level a student who has even a basic knowledge of the syllabus of class 11 and class 12 can clear the LPUNEST and can get a scholarship upto 60% .

Night Life

5

There are a total of 3 gyms in our campus, with a food court for each and every hostel there is no time bound for boys to explore the night life but within the campus.. But for the girls the time limit for now is just 8:30pm which will soon be changed to 10:00pm. Hangout places in the campus are the food courts, cafes, parks like the robo park, spider park, unimall etc.. The security over here are very friendly and this place is very safe for girls.

Other Applied Colleges

Vellore Institute of Technology | Btech

I got a better opportunity in terms of fees

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
