Course Curriculum Overview

5

I would rate the course curriculum, to be really relevant for some subjects but for some it feels totally new . For example in electrical engineering - it is totally what we learned in class 12 th for first 2 units and then only does it get complex . Also for civil engineering , some part of mechanics is valid but seldom is a unit based on it . Maths is really easy to understand given your teacher is good .

Internships Opportunities

4

I did a few rounds of stalking the placement reports and student posts, and tbh DTU gets a crazy mix — big tech, product companies, consultancies and some hardcore hardware firms. Google, Microsoft, Apple, Atlassian, Amazon, Flipkart, Qualcomm, Adobe, Oracle, and Samsung are names you’ll see show up for paid internships, and they usually bring roles like SDE / Software Intern, Machine Learning / Data Science Intern, Product Intern, Research Intern, and Embedded / Firmware Intern. The university’s placement summaries even mention high paid internships from the likes of Atlassian, Apple and Microsoft.

Placement Experience

5

The placements are fantastic , many companies like google amazon and FAANG companies come here . Although i cant compare it with top IIT s but still a 25 lakh per annum package in CSE is still remarkable. The placement cell is often influenced by Placement coordinator but then DTU takes action against them and debar them from placements . If one does not get placement in DTU. , the DTU tag will obviously be more than useful in after course placements

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees is approximately 2.5 lakhs per annum , there are various types of scholarship. , like Dell aspire and other ones which one can avail. 10000 fees is for ews students that we pay from our pocket . 5000 is for student welfare and other things 1.7 lakh is actual tution fee

Campus Life

5

The college life is fun , and i love it , there are 7 badminton courts and there are tons for comedy superstars coming every now and then. Like vidit sharma and kaustubh Aggarwal. Also north India's 2nd largest fest ie engifest takes place here . The mood is really joyful here. There are a lot of books in the library , and one can easily issue them . Also all the classes have a projector and a screen so they also come in handy

Admission

I chose this college because all my relatives told that this college is among the top colleges in india . Which it is , also i had home state quota so to be honest this was the best college i was getting at my rank . I had to choose between mechanical engineering of DTU or NIT delhi but i compared the package on average. And felt DTU as a better option

Faculty

4

Well the faculty changes every semester . And it depends proffesor to proffesor. It isnt like all of them are alike . Some are lineant and want you to actually learn while other are just teaching for namesake and care all about attendance . Also phd students also are our professors and they lack professionalism

Night Life

4

I haven't stayed a lot at night but twice when i stayed it felt really safe and cozy . There is a nescafe cafe where they sell maggi . It is very tasty and recommended. We have OAT where societies do there PR and it is also fun to interact

Placement Experience:

For placement, I would say it is average in terms of top-tier colleges. Average placement is 6 LPA; the highest last year was 29 LPA in BTech AI/ML. Placement is offered in the 4th year of the courses, and there are on-campus placements available, but under significant criteria based on the recruiting company like cgpa should be more then 7.5 no active backlog and all so these are the cretiera that a company demands and depands of dfiffrent companies i dont have any subsqueent infomation regaridng the name of companies visited and no of offer made but i have the information regarding thear placement percenateg it was aroung 82 percent last year my plans are to prepare for govt exam and get in there after getting degree

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was evidently outdated and irrelevant to modern engineering challenges and could have severely disadvantaged students' learning outcomes. Although, interaction with seniors compensated this.

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.

I don't know much about placement because I don't want to sit in the placement drive of my college. Like I told earlier also that I have interest in electronics, so I want to do something in that field. If I want then I will give GATE exam after 4 years of my college so that I can get a chance to do MTECH in vlsi.
