Remarks

Only negetive remarks that I hate is, there has been lot of political things goes around through the entire college. Sometimes there were fight between 2 teams of other political supports. That affects the students sometimes.

Course Curriculum Overview

As I took the B. A. stream, I took History as the Primary subject. Besides of that, there were 3 more subjects that I have to take in that time. Those subjects were Bengali, English, Political Science. The course took 2.5 years to complete as it was devided into each year. 1st year took 11 months to complete. 2nd year took 8 months to complete. And 3rd year, most crucial, took only 4 months to complete, as it was the part of the system. Our exam took place in other colleges. We had to go there and gave our exam.

Placement Experience

This is the really let down of our college. Our college never arranges job opportunities or placements for us. When our course is over in that college, we are done like stuck in the middle of the sea. We have to struggle a lot to find matching jobs, even till now.

College Events

Our college arranged various kinds of sports and drama during the festive season. In Durga Puja festival, our college arranges a massive feast in the entire campus; as well as in the Saraswati Puja festival. Besides of that, our college arranges drama, sportsvin the winter, and also in the year ending celebrations.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college gave Half-Fees facilty to those who is poor to the economical activity of their faimily. With these facilities, those students could pay only 50% of their actual course fees. Our college also arranged free train tickets upto 3 months for the students who travels through train.

Campus Life

They are very good at sports such as football, cricket, volleyball. There were practice matches on cricket had been arranged every week. Also drama classes has been arranged each month for the girls.

Hostel Facilities

No, as I am a local boy, I never opted for Hostel. But our college have such hostels for those student who came from other districts. The rooms were fine and very neat of the hostel buildings. There were also seperate hostels for girls and few watchman also guards the premises 24/7.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, the seniors are very helpful from the beginning of the college life. They helped a lot during the exam. Sometimes they gave valuable information about the future opportunities which we can take after the college course. They liked us a lot.

Admission

I Got 65% marks in the 12th stands. Thats let me into the merit list of History subject (Honors). There were 4 merit list which was published in that day. My name was in the first 2 merit list. I was so worried. Finally I found my name on the third merit list.

Faculty

Our college is pretty strong from the science education. But pretty weak in the Arts section. As I was a arts student, i struggled a lot in that time. Besides education, our college arranges various annual sports, drama in our college campus. The foods in the cafeteria was really spot on.

My Experience at Jaipuria to summed it up.

Likes

Quality education and an academically enriching environment. Most importantly, well- versed professors.
Extra- curriculum activities, along with an active sports cell and NCC, and usually various opportunities to participate in Inter-College Competitions.
Well maintained gym with separate timings for girls and boys. The canteen offers a wide variety of foods at an affordable price.

Dislikes

For my department, there was no educational excursion.
Negligence internship opportunities are available for my course.
Only some placement opportunities are available, and companies like TCS and Wipro came up for campus placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My passion and a bit of curiosity in International Relations led me to choose this course. The curriculum, in fact, prepared me well for further academic pursuits. For improvement, educational excursions and internship opportunities should be made available. The exam is held twice a year on semester basis, with papers set at a moderate to difficult level.

A balanced view of campus life and learning

Likes

The English department has experienced and supportive teachers. Most professors explain concepts clearly and encourage discussions, close reading and critical thinking.
The course is very affordable, especially compared to private colleges. With scholarships, it becomes accessible for students from middle and lower income backgrounds.
The college has a friendly and diverse student crowd. The girls to boys ratio is balanced with slightly more female students, which creates a comfortable learning atmosphere.

Dislikes

The infrastructure needs improvement. Classrooms and common areas could be better maintained and modern facilities are limited.
There are very few placement opportunities for arts students.
Although some academic events take place, extracurricular activities and active student societies could be improved for better campus life.

Placement Experience:

There are limited on campus placement opportunities here, especially for Arts and Eng Hons students. Most students focus on higher studies, competitive exams or off campus opportunities after graduation. The college provides basic guidance through teachers but formal placement drives are rare.

Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira: A Life Changing Experience

Likes

The college has an ideal atmosphere for studying and the hostel accommodation allowed for close bonding with seniors who helped us out in studies as well as personal matters. The teachers are extremely talented and treated us with care and respect.
It is an all boys college and it is without any doubt a ragging-free campus. There is anti-ragging cell as well as student councelling cell available on the campus to help out with these issues.
The experience of hostel life and the close sense of community that is formed during my stay has been instrumental in my growth and the strict implementation of discipline in our daily lives enriched me and changed my life for the better.

Dislikes

The administration is not always the best. Applications, forms, seminars and event permits all required a long time to get approved by the authorities as most of the time it meant compromising our strict schedule as it is a residential college.
The average food quality in the mess could be better. Again it is not always the best but for the most part it is decent.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum provides a comprehensive retrospective of literature from the Old English period to Modern period, while also including English works by Indian authors to demonstrate the diversity and evolution of English literature over the years. The current curriculum I believe requires more seminars and lectures from guest faculties on contemporary research and topics.

Likes

I really like the environment of our college .
And the brilliant and talented professors with phed
And the friendly nature of the people in the college

Dislikes

The unavailability of the boys hostel in our college .
No bigger playground to play ...as there is only volleyball court to play .
The toilet facilities are not poorly managed .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really liked geography as a subject for learning and exploring as it includes fieldwork , surveys and excursion which enhances our mind and experience in our life and this way we have many opportunities to learn new things in our life which is helpful for our future purposes. The only improvements I would like to note that to improve the toilet facilities and placement opportunities.

A brief description about salesian

Likes

Our college has one of the most beautiful infrastructure. I have never seen such infrastructure in any other colleges in our town. Our clg has the best infrastructure with all the facilities required for the students.
Second thing which I like the most about our college is the rules and regulations which helps each and everyone alot. Propers rules and regulations for everything academic co curricular activities
Third thing is the faculty our college got the best faculty ever each one of them are really very helpful and kind. If any problem face the faculty will obviously help you to get a prophet solution to your problem.

Dislikes

Just one thing which the the timing as many students faces problem regarding the timing as sometimes it's too early like 7 am in the morning

Course Curriculum Overview:

If I had to rate the course curriculum then it would be 9 as this course is really good one. The college provides proper teaching facilities with the best teachers and with the help of them it feels so easy and fun to learn. There are no improvement required for this field if they will keep on doing the same thing it will really be good

My overall experience is too good with good environment
I get proper theoretical knowledge from experienced faculties.
We get hands on experience from different star categories of hotels during the course in every weekend.
